I tried the vegan menu, and unfortunately it was quite disappointing, especially at €30 per person.
The pica-pica starter consisted of a soup, hummus, and guacamole. The soup felt more like a winter dish — not exactly what you expect in the middle of summer. The hummus had very little flavor and came with just five sad-looking pieces of thawed carrot. The guacamole also lacked depth of taste, although the olive oil on top was nice — but it was served with only six tortilla chips (!).
For the main course, you can choose between a “vegan burger” or vegetable rice. The so-called burger was actually just a stack of mashed potatoes with some quickly thawed vegetables on the side. It tasted a bit better than it looked, but was still bad and absolutely not a burger. The vegetable rice, on the other hand, was well-cooked — the texture of the rice itself was spot on — though some of the vegetables were also thawed. What concerned me most was the stock used: it tasted very much like it was made with animal products, which is unacceptable for a vegan dish.
The service was quick, but the staff made no eye contact and barely said a word to us. In fact, the first time anyone really spoke to us was when they noticed we had left the “vegan burger” after just one bite. We were told it tasted that way because they are required to freeze all products first, including vegetables. This is misleading: Spanish health regulations only require freezing fish and seafood (to avoid parasites), but absolutely not vegetables. Freezing vegetables is simply a choice made by the restaurant.
Overall, the menu feels poorly thought out. I would honestly recommend scrapping the vegan option altogether rather than serving...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would however I can only give 1. this place is absolutely disgusting. Never come here. They was so rude and the food was RAW, we sent it back and there was no apology, they HEATED it up and gave it back to the WRONG people (there’s 11 of us and 6 of us who ate meat sent the raw food back) . Not only this, the service was SHOCKING. no apology, no helping us out. They took our plates before done. Manager did not want to hear our point. I believe it’s because we was 11 young English women (24 years old) and they thought they could take advantage. When we complained, they sent out their non English waiter who was shouting at us saying “no Hablo engles, pay now” and when we said please can we speak to someone else we saw the managers standing there watching him talk to us, almost like it was their plan to send him so wed pay. Eventually we paid the whole price because they did not budge, and they was so rude ans argumentative when we left. We are worried about walking home as a girl group because we think they might follow...
Read moreI stumbled upon this restaurant while trying to escape the rain and cold, and I couldn’t have found a better place. Soaked and shivering, I was welcomed by Ana and Ignacio with such warmth and kindness that it instantly felt like a safe haven. They offered me a spot by the heat to dry my coat and even gave me a blouse to change into so I wouldn’t be uncomfortable—a gesture that truly went above and beyond.
The food was just as comforting as their hospitality. The set menu was incredible—the artichoke was perfectly prepared, and the fideuà was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. To top it off, they even brought me a glass of fresh orange juice, even though it wasn’t on the menu, which was such a thoughtful touch.
With amazing food, unbeatable prices, and some of the kindest hosts I’ve ever met, this place is an absolute gem. What started as an escape from the rain turned into an unforgettable dining experience—I’ll...
