El Patio de Atocha — Restaurant in Madrid

Among many other restaurants I enjoyed during my Madrid visit, this is the only one I took the time to share a review for. We were there to celebrate a special occasion, and they did their best to make it memorable. The staff was friendly, kind, and professional. The food delighted us. The cured beef was a piece of art. Cuidado porque tus datos personales no están seguros al comenzar una reserva en este restaurante. Además, el trato en el proceso de reserva no ha sido adecuado e incluso irrespetuoso.

Realicé una reserva a través de Google Maps y se pedía confirmación añadiendo una tarjeta de crédito. Contacté por teléfono para ver si podía hacer la reserva sin la tarjeta y me indicaron que no era posible, a lo que dije que iba a pensar si realizaba finalmente la reserva o no. En ese momento me decidí por otro restaurante que también necesitaba introducir la tarjeta pero que nos pillaba más cerca así que nunca confirmé la reserva ni esta reserva estaba confirmada por parte del restaurante.

Mientras estaba comiendo recibo una llamada del restaurante preguntándome que por qué no he acudido a la reserva. A lo que le indico que no la reservé por el tema de la tarjeta y me dicen que ven en el sistema que he hecho otra reserva en otro sitio.

En primer lugar, la reserva no estaba cerrada siguiendo las propias indicaciones del restaurante, con lo cual no entiendo qué tienen que reclamarme. En segundo lugar, donde yo decida finalmente es parte de mi privacidad y no les importa. Por último, tienen la desfachatez de aceptar la reserva a la misma hora que había solicitado para que aparezca como que "he faltado". Se olvidaron de cancelar la reserva y me quisieron colgar el muerto.

Me parece que no es la manera de tratar a nadie (llamandole por teléfono para preguntar por qué no va a una reserva que no ha confirmado y diciendole que saben que está en otro restaurante) y desde luego que no...

Nice spot in the center. After unfortunately trying to find an available place to eat late evening, we find this peaceful oasis. The first impression is like approaching a super expensive restaurant, but after reading the card we realized it wasn’t. The service is very polite but friendly at the same time. Make sure you order an entrance too, we picked a burrata salad and a torreznos plate and was amazing. For main dish I’ve chosen a black angus rib and my wife a lomo ibérico, both were really tasty.
