Los Nachos de Oro — Restaurant in Madrid

Terrible service!! As we (couple) arrived there, we sat down at a table outside and the first waitress arrived. She asked us in spanish what we want to drink, so we said, that we please at first want to look into the menu (thats normal at home i don't know if that's different here). She immediately turned arround without saying anything and left giving us a bugged look. We thought that she maybe didn't understand our english, so we waited for the next waiter to come to our table or for her next move to bring us the menu-card. But nothing such happened, she sat on her chair outside the house and smoked a cigarette starring at us. Finally after 15 minutes, a young waiter came to us so we could at least order our drinks. As he brought them with a menu-card we thought everything was alright. But NO! We sat there over 40 minutes without beeing asked what we like to eat. No reactions on remarks that we want to order our food, we got ignorated constantely. We just left by paying our drinks. Such an effrontery! The bill was already printed as we went inside to pay it!! They already decided that we have to go after we drank out . Maybe they have something against tourists or english talking people. Sad because I think the food would...

The first service left without a word as we asked in english for a card. The second one brought us something to drink and a card, but then ignored us completly for about half an our so we weren't even able to order some food. To be honest the place isn't beautiful at all, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. The food taste homemade and has this authentic Mexican flavor, completely different from other Mexican restaurants chains. The nachos are very generous in terms of ingredients (specially cheese) and the sauces are excellent!
