Restaurante Vivares — Restaurant in Madrid

The food and the restaurant itself were fine, the reason why I am giving this place a one-star review is because of the wait staff. One of my servers, I believe his name is Jon was absolutely disrespectful to my female partner and just plain ol' crass. I don't speak Spanish so maybe he thought that she wouldn't tell me. But he would say things to her like "so, are you going to eff (spelled that way for censors) him tonight" or "everyone here agrees, watch your back around him." Well, if everyone thought she was in danger around me, why wouldn't they tell her why?

Food was disgusting! Steak is reformed meat, not real steak. Chicken was dried out and could break your teeth. Vegetable tempura contains aubergine, nothing else, not good tempura batter. I would strongly advise anyone against visiting this place for food! Waiter was rude and didn't care that we didn't like the food, shrugged his shoulders and insisted we pay full price regardless. Worst experience we have had in Madrid. Never again and I hope you all manage to avoid our experience. If there was an option for zero star rating, I would have...

Bad service even worse food

The waiter was rude, it was busy sure whatever I didn’t care much.

But the food has to be a crime, I am not exaggerating when I say it was probably the worst food I paid for in my life, I kind of wish it tasted bad but no it tasted of nothing

Not a single speck of salt was in any of our food, we ordered a chicken sandwich, chicken fries, and a chicken toast

And it all tasted like we were eating air, it was like if it was the apocalypse and I had to eat my cube of food just to survive.
