This place was highly recommended to us by our AirBnB host, so we decided to check it out. This place is a Asian fusion restaurant and the prices are fairly priced in my opinion. The restaurant looks small when you enter, but there is another floor upstairs. It had a cute interior. Not too much going on, but very fitting for this environment. This place was quite busy at 1400, but luckily we got seated right away. First we ordered drinks and that was definitely my favorite thing. We ordered the diablito?, which consisted of tequila and other various mixes. It was perfect! It was very freshing and the tequila flavor popped, but was not overbearing. We ordered the chicken panko salad, which had good flavors and spices, but a little too much dressing for the amount of salad you got. The chicken appeared to be cooked too long by the color of it and it was, but it had decent flavor. Secondly we ordered two different ceviche dishes. One had just fish and calamari and the other was fish and octopus. Both ceviches were fresh, but a lot different than what I was expecting. Usually when I eat ceviche it is coated lightly with lemon or lime juice, but this ceviche was tossed in mayo or some kind of sauce. I thought the sauce they tossed it in was too much. We wanted to eat something light for lunch, but felt like we ate something very filling. We tried the yuca fries and they were fine, nothing exciting. It was bland and so was the dipping sauce that came with it. Lastly, we had ordered the wok soba. It was cooked nicely in the wok and had vegetables you would typically get in an Asian noodle dish. The vegetables were not soggy and had a nice crispy texture to it. The chicken was cooked nicely and was not over cooked. It was quite tender. Unfortunately, we all thought the dish was too salty. Overall, I thought this place was cute and would definitely be a place to go have a drink or two, but the food was just fair. It definitely had the flavors though, but it just was not for our party. The service was great although there was a language barrier (expected on going to a foreign country). We did order a dish and it never came, but that is ok because we had enough to eat. It was a busy place and we were...
Read moreAbsolutely spectacular and delicious food. Chifa is a MUST stop on your culinary tour of Seville.
If you are a fan of Peruvian food as well as Japanese, then you will love the eclectic mix of flavours and textures. If you’re not a particular fan of either, then you should still eat here and you’ll be blown away. As you can see from the photos - the presentation is sublime - a delight for all the senses.
I absolutely recommend the Leche de pez mantequilla, the Leche de tigre chifa (in the glass) and the Ají de gallina (slow-cooked chicken in ají spices. But nothing here is short of delicious.
Finally, our waitress Maria was also a delight - friendly and courteous, knowledgeable and hugely passionate about the food, explaining the ingredients and preparation of each dish. If only all waiting staff were like Maria.
Don’t think twice about coming here, not least because some of the places just a few feet away are also highly...
Read moreVery nice place! Nice food - good makis, nigiris and gyozas, tasty and fresh ceviche, fine woks. Excellent service - the wok we had tasted a bit burnt, but it wasn't bad. We commented to the waiter that it wasn't so nice as we expected and that we wouldn't order it again next time. He apologized, said that's possible because of the cooking style and that he will ask about it the chief. Than the chief apologized, told us that it could be his mistake and asked for another try - make us a small amount of the same wok to taste how it has to be. The waiter brought us almost the same amount as the first time with another apology and this time the wok was perfect. We were happy with the dinner, and we'll surely return to Chifa next...
