Liaopastel — Restaurant in Valencia

We visited this café on my birthday, and unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend it. The service was unprofessional and unwelcoming. Given the prices, we expected at least decent treatment, but instead, the staff was outright rude. The woman taking my order aggressively told me not to speak English to her. I understand that not everyone in Valencia speaks English, but in other places, even if staff couldn’t communicate in English, they were never hostile or irritated like here.

As for the food, it didn’t live up to the price. The chocolate cake lacked flavor, the cheesecake had an artificial aftertaste, and the Lotus brownie was a bit too dry. The only redeeming part of our visit was the coffee and matcha, which were...

Poor service from the waitress with tattoos. I ordered a black coffee and a bocadillo and sat outside for a while. As it was pretty cold, I moved inside and sat in a table whilst reading. A few minutes later the waitress came out and said I needed to order for being there, even when I'd been at the coffee for about half a hour. She was so rude and of course wanted me to go out to have more clients. That's not the way a client must be treated. Absolutely unbelievable!!! While in the bathroom the regular old man that constantly pesters customers wandering incessantly and aimlessly around the cafe (that for some peculiar reason the clearly highly incompetent staff allow every morning) was stealing my brand new pens and rummaging through my bag as if it were his own! And then the staff defended HIM when i confronted him about it! This place has the most incredibly unintelligent forms of human I've yet encountered on the planet... And to think of the money I've spent being loyal to...
