Canto Papa — Restaurant in Stockholm

We were there on a Saturday early evening around 5pm without a reservation but managed to get a table still. Very nice ambience, great menu with good options which I usually don’t see at Chinese restaurants in Sweden. We ordered the Hainanese chicken, hand pulled noodles with roasted duck and wonton. For dessert we shared the deep fried bao with sesame ice cream. It was all very good but there could have been more chicken and noodles so the portions could have been bigger. The soup that came with the chicken was a bit too salty. The complimentary fortune cookies that came with the bill was a nice touch. Not sure if it was because of Lunar New Year. All in all, we enjoyed it and the staff is very friendly. We would definitely come back and try some...

I had my birthday dinner at Ming palace and was in contact with Tin through email in regards to seating, dietary restrictions, deposit, general questions etc. Food was great! Authentic foods that really felt like it was made with care Customer service was absolutely amazing!! They were so willing and helpful to adapt to dietary restrictions. They made a special dish for one person that wasn’t even on the menu and it meant so much for them to be able to come and enjoy a meal like that. Very thorough information and never made me feel like a bother for asking so much The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming

Ming Palace has come a long way from being your average Chinese spot with a hidden menu. In recent years, the younger generation has stepped in and brought out the true flavors of Chinese cuisine, served family-style and packed with authenticity while still keeping the older generation’s handiwork and their stern but fair presence at the core.

The food is full of bold, traditional flavors, great value for money, and the decor feels 100% genuine. It’s a rare find that delivers both taste and atmosphere without compromise.

That said, word is they’re planning major changes. I really hope they don’t go the hipster route and stick to the warm, traditional, family-style approach that makes this place special....
