First visit at Agapé for lunch time. Agapé position is central, they have a terrace which is very enjoyable during summer. The concept is simple, bistro style with a gastronomic, gourmet vision therefore small menu, fresh ingredients and a keen eye on the presentation. Cuisine influences from Italy as well as France. Today we were a party of three. We had a carpaccio de loud de mer with peach dots and lime and pomelo dices. Followed by a risotto with chanterelles and zucchini, a risotto with tomato, stracciatella & shrimps and a iron steak with radish ravioli. Watch for the fine print. Each plate you ask to share costs 10 CH even after you tell the one grouchy waiter that you changed your mind once informed of the fine print on sharing, and don't want to share, and then order only 2 items. The nice waiter of the 2 servers got us a $10 forgiveness of the $20 charge asked for on the plates we were forced to share. The pasta sause was nondistinctive and the pasta shells al dente to a fault. The monk fish was ordinary but the accompanying sauce was delicious. We liked the restaurant and the service, which is very friendly and client-oriented. The food was delicious and at a good price! The only minus is that it is not friendly to non-smokers: there is no arrangement on the terrace for a smoking free zone.. so if you are a non-smoker, you basically cannot be outside :( Well, it’s a smoker-prioritising world :( My recommendation is to make a terrace smoking-free and arrange a specific smoking area somewhere, as many other gourmet...
