We went to celebrate a late Mother’s Day dinner on 5/13 at 5:30 PM. Our party of four adults and two children under four was seated at table B10.
For the price, the food was decent, but the service left much to be desired. The staff appeared stoic and emotionless, giving the impression that they disliked their jobs. Management should improve the work environment or provide training on customer relations, given that this is the hospitality industry.
The tall man making hand rolls at 5:30 PM (姓范) was particularly cold and emotionless, making the experience uncomfortable. It felt as if he was annoyed with everyone asking for hand rolls including us, which was disturbing.
The best service came from the cleaning staff, who were always smiling, nice, and friendly. Special thanks to the older, slim chef at the teppanyaki station, who was both friendly and professional while making shrimp and scallops.
Overall, most of the team seemed cold and unemotional. The food was average but acceptable for only $1,080 per person. The bamboo pork rib soup was tasty but not hot enough, while the desserts were great and enjoyable
Unfortunately, the toilets smelled terrible, like feces, throughout. It would be wise to increase cleaning frequency during peak times, perhaps in consultation with...
Read moreVery popular seafood buffet and require you to make a reservation a couple months in advance.
The restaurant is big and their buffet offer a wide variety of BBQ, hot items, salad, desserts and sushi.
But I find the line ups for the buffets inefficient:
Everyone gets seated at the same time, resulting in everyone going up to the buffet at the same time
There is only 1 entry to line up per section, so if someone in front is ho huming what to get it stops everyone else.
Eating time is 2 hours and it's a hard cut off. There's announcement at 90 min preparing for you to finish up, and again 5 min before time is up. You kind of feel like you're in some kind of cog in a giant eating machine.
It's a bit overwhelming.
The seafood section is fresh, I loves their sushi and sashimi. My husband enjoyed the hot section of buns and chicken. The price is decent for the selection.
If you don't mind standing and wait for your table, then waiting and lining up to get food this is worth it.
A suggestion would be if they can stagger time to seat tables to reduce the initial line up for the buffet so people won't have to...
Read moreWe received dinner vouchers from our bank to try the buffet here. We made reservations online and arrived about 20 minutes early. There's not much to see in the mall, and the line to be seated moves fast, so don't come too early or you'll just sit there.
The buffet is a good size and seems to always have the same things. Some of the highlights are the crabs and oysters. The desserts are nice too with a soufflé pancake station. There are plenty of drinks including a few different types of beer. The sushi and sashimi is meh and if you go at the wrong time you'll get over cooked prime rib. Service is usually attentive, cleaning plates quickly and I like that there are several sinks in the dining area to wash your hands after...
