OZ Cafe & Bistro — Restaurant in Xinyi District

The place is not very big, so when there’s lot of people, it can be noisy and difficult to have a conversation. Service is average, not the best there is. And I find it strange that the staff eats at the front section, right next to the customer’s table, when there are other tables available that are not in the middle of customers.

Ordered the crispy pork, mushroom prosciutto pasta, iced mocha, and sands caramel crunchy melaleuca. Everything is relatively good, but not extraordinary.

The best of crispy pork dish is the ciabatta slices. It was fresh from the oven, crunchy and warm. I found the pork belly skin to be too thick and not crispy enough as there was still some part that was hard to eat.

The pasta is not bad, it was creamy and flavourful, but I personally don’t like the taste of prosciutto, a bit different from what I usually eat.

Iced mocha is just average, recommend you to order other beverages.

The melaleuca is pretty good, however the 金沙 in the middle is weird if eaten alone, but the overall taste of the cake is good.

Bolognese with mushroom, like poor people who cannot afford meat, but it's expensive. If I pay high price I want the quality that comes with it, I don't want a dish that looks like it was made by someone tricking themselves into believing they have more meat. At least the sauce isn't too watery....

Barilla stated in the menu, they're probably sponsored by them, but it doesn't give a good look, because anyone into italian food would know it's a bad brand from the US.

We get charged 10% or service fee for a service that doesn't exist, the food doesn't arrive at the same time.

The cutlery is bad, the handles are round and hard to use for pasta.

I don't like their textured plates, looks something that would only work for salads, for saucy pasta, better use...

Me and my daughter had a lunch here today. She ordered a Pasta and I ordered a Sandwich, a bread basket, and a cake. Bread came in fairly fast. My daughter’s pasta was ready in about 15 minutes which is normal speed. But my sandwich never came. I asked the waitress to check and if they forgot to place order, please cancel it. She came back and said they need time for preparation…Nevertheless, the sandwich never showed up.

I then told waitress forget about the sandwich because my daughter already finished the Pasta. Please give us the cake instead. Unfortunately, 15 minutes passed and nothing showed up.
