Da Milano Phuket Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Patong

I had the Da Milano speciality pizza. It had fresh ingredients which were tasty and well proportioned. The cheese in the middle was especially fresh and smooth. The crust was crispy and smokey as any good wood fired pizza should be..Also the pizza came with a house specialty sauce;it was really good! The flavor of the house sauce was especially difficult to pin point,but I would say it’s like a different kind of BBQ sauce, slightly tangy and sweet. Very good! Don’t forget to try a dessert. I couldn’t resist getting the lemon tart. Tangy lemon inside, with a soft and sweet crust, all finished off with a creamy smooth cream cheese topping.

The owner Izhar was especially accommodating. Very friendly and hospitable. And not only that but all the staff were constantly smiling and frequently checking in on me to see if I needed anything. The chef formerly cooked at a well known 5 star hotel restaurant nearby. So I wouldn’t be surprised if everything is of the same excellent quality as the pizza I had.

The business is very new. Not even a month old. But I would imagine that they’ll be a staple on the Patong beach road for many years to come. Keep up the great work guys. I loved the food and the experience. Will be back soon for sure!...

The Fish Tandoori was bad. It was salty, had alot of spcies and they use some cheap fish which tasted like frozen cat fish.

The Paneer tikka was also bad, it was very thin pieced and was spicy and wet.

The chicken used for tikka was only breast no thigh, so it was rought.

It took them so long time to serve the rice and naan, which is strange because in restaurants these items should be quick to serve. Also, the cheese naan had little cheese but more butter.

They force you to pay 3% extra for card payments, but don't mention this anywhere at the restaurant. For the prices they charge for their Indian food, they should not charge anything for the card payment. The waiters were friendly, but the manager was not friendly.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a tour agency and it was truly a delight. After a long day of travel, the variety of Italian and Thai foods on the menu pleased our crowd. We ordered cocktails which were a very generous size, plus a couple of Italian pizzas and Thai noodle dishes. They hit the spot. The owner Izhar was also a highlight of our meal. His cooking experience and enthusiasm for his restaurant and his expert chef made us excited for the quality of the food and eager to share this great option with other people we encounter in Phuket. Great cheerful atmosphere as well....
