Twiggy — Restaurant in Dubai

Very beautiful venue, rude and unfriendly staff. Useless manager.

Not that long ago,My friends and I came to this venue as walk ins for lunch to this place and enjoy the afternoon. The Receptionist in the main entrance was nice , we were informed that we could go to the pool after spend in the restaurant with no extra charge (2hours in the restaurant and 1 hour in the pool before it closes as we went there at 3 pm) Hostess at the restaurant very unfriendly saying straight away that we should spend the full dining at the resto (good afternoon ladies... , welcome.... ,enjoy the lunch.... a smile..(with mask is a bit tricky but you can feel when someone is happy at work and receiving guests) was missing...) obviously we didn’t go only for tea and a piece of cake as locals do...... once we finish the lunch , we did go to the pool and the guy staff of sunbeds said that we should pay 200 aed for the sunbed.... we weren’t informed about this from the receptionist and then the guy said to make an exception ( anyways, In one hour the pool would be closed and the venue wasn’t busy so what for to make us pay 200 for a sunbed?) and after the guy came back to us like 3 times asking who told us that wrong information, saying to my friend that is a lier because his colleague didn’t provide that information to us. We were shocked. From when an employee says to a guest that is a lier? That guy really needs LQA training☝🏻 We called the manager who took a lot to come (listening his friend about the situation , walking around thinking to come or not to us....)and once he came it was like talking to the wall....he listened to us ... pretending like he care about we were saying and at the end he said “ ok ladies, let’s forget about this situation ok?” We are working in the same field, working in a 5 stars resort in my case, and we know how works this, and we solve the situation , we give options, we NEVER ARGUE AND CHALLENGE with THE GUEST!!!! And even less saying my guest that is a lier 😂😂 unreal and unacceptable. We understand that the guys are tired, they work long hours but we were not complicated costumers, we spent, we went only for a couple of hours and wasn’t busy at all to be bothered in that way from the staff. We felt unwelcome and uncomfortable from the beginning until the end. Of course none of us will not recommend this place at all!!!! Very beautiful venue...

One of the most well-known and luxurious beach clubs in Dubai. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and upscale. The staff were all extremely friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole experience feel very relaxed. I really appreciated the balance – the service was just right: helpful, professional, and even a bit humorous, which added a nice personal touch. I truly felt well taken care of throughout the day.

The sunbeds were extremely comfortable, with thick foam mattresses that made lounging for hours an absolute pleasure. The facilities were also great – there are proper, private washrooms available where you can shower and freshen up after a day at the beach, which is a big plus.

The overall design of the venue is beautiful. One unique feature that stood out to me was the pool – it’s not a standard pool, but more like a seamless blend between the sea and pool. It adds a special aesthetic and atmosphere. However, one downside is that the pool wasn’t cooled, so the water was quite warm, which made it less refreshing, especially on a hot day.

Now to the part that disappointed me: the food. We had lunch at the restaurant, and unfortunately, the quality didn’t match the price point. The dishes were very expensive, the portions were quite small, and overall, the food was underwhelming. I’ve had much better dining experiences at other beach clubs in Dubai – for example, San Beach offered better food at more reasonable prices.

Overall, it’s a great beach club with a lot of positives – amazing service, comfortable loungers, clean facilities, and a unique atmosphere. I might come back again, but mainly for the beach and the vibe, not...
