I have been coming to TGI Fridays and been a fan for many years. Not just this one but I try to visit one everywhere I go. Lately, I’ve noticed it’s been losing its identity. From the fact that the waiters are no longer “quirky” to the quality of the food. It’s just not tgi anymore. Which is a massive shame. Over the school holidays we have been 7 times. Unfortunately, the new menu came in recently and today we went to check it out. I find it appalling that this menu has even been released. Less food, higher price, lower quality. I was going to right it in detail but I find I can sum it up like that. While we were eaten a family and a couple got up and left after being seated. We over heard the family saying it’s just too expensive. I absolutely agree. You seem to be expecting a family of 4 to pay £20 + for a burger. For a family restaurant that’s absolutely appalling. Not only that, the kids eat free vouchers only Works one adult to one child now because some person has decided, because reasons 🤷‍♂️. At least look like you care. Anyway, after more than a decade my family have decided, although we can afford to eat here, talking into consider the food quality and the deterioration of the brand identity ( which affects the atmosphere ) we can no longer enjoy coming to tgi. It was a great couple of decades. But you are no longer providing what a family wants or enjoys. Apart from maybe your garlic fries 🤷‍♂️ if it wasn’t a small handful for the price. Cheers for the good times.

TGI Friday's has always been a favourite but after lockdown it seemed to of lacked taste, one of my friends was taking me out for some food so decided it was time to try Fridays again. I didn't book ahead of time, so when arriving we were given a buzzer, luckily 15mins later it went off and we were shown to a table. We were placed quite near to the door so every time it opened there was a cold breeze so sat with our hoodies on. Our waitress Isla M was fantastic, so bubbly and friendly and really made TGI Fridays what its all about, we ordered the sesame chicken strips & friday's glazed burger but unfortunately when it came out the chips were cold and food was luke warm. Isla was really apologetic and took our food straight back, luckily the second time it all came out roasting hot and fresh. Since it was my birthday we decided to try the biscoff sundae which was well filled and tasted great. Prices at TGI Fridays is a little high for what it is but worth it for the atmosphere. Big shoutout to our friendly waitress Isla M who was fantastic from start to finish, really deserves some appreciation and was a great help when the food came out cold.

Restaurants these days have really gone down hill especially since covid. It's like staff don't care about customers anymore because no one can afford to eat out and prices are higher than ever and they are empty. Staff seem bored. Because of this, standards have slipped. The high chair was dirty and we had to clean our own booth seats as well as the high chair. If the place is empty and the staff are bored why is the place not immaculate? Because no one cares anymore! Yet prices are sky high! It's like they are just waiting to be shut down. And why are the chairs in these places torn when they clearly make enough money to be replaced? Its a restaurant not mcDonalds! It's such a shame when you go out as a family of 2 and a baby and spend £60+ for LUNCH for the first time in a year since your baby was born and this is your experience! It's so sad this is the restaurant experience now. Lazy customer service and satisfaction. The waitress was nice enough but if she really cared, the chairs and high chair would have been clean. Very disappointed after spending so much money 😞

Recently visited here with my partner and newborn, it was very quiet, only 3 tables in the whole restaurant. It suited us to be honest because it’s quite nerve wracking going to busy places with an unpredictable newborn. We asked for a table with space for our pram. The waiter was very accommodating and gave us a perfect corner table with plenty space for our pram. We then got our order taken by a waitress who was also nice and pleasant.

Fast forward 20 minutes and a family of 5 then came in. But the restaurant was still quiet as one of the other tables had left in that time. There was tables of 5 and 6 empty everywhere. This other waiter different from the one that seated us, comes and gives the family of 5 a table right beside us, he had to actually physically pull their table slightly away from us before they sat down, because our pram was close next to it. This was really baffling to us, why would you sit a family of 5 next to a newborn in a pram that could cry any minute and the fact you made all parties involved uncomfortable as you try and pull a table away from ours, right in front of everyone when everyone is thinking the exact same thing - that being.. why not just give them that table over there… that’s empty.. and had much more room… and you don’t need to worry about them disturbing our baby or equally our baby disturbing them. Absolute mind blowing how incompetent this waiter was, not a bit it common sense between his ears. Then, a different waitress came with our mains, a different waitress again from the nice one that took our order. She put the plates down, then took our starter plates away at the same time, doing so, knocked half my chips off my plate onto the table. I waited to see if she’d apologise or offer to change them, she never. I had to awkwardly pick them up in front of her and put them back on my plate brazenly. Still nothing. Absolutely shocking service. When she first approached she had a bothered expression on her face and said “I don’t have a clue who has or hasn’t got the tomato” as one order had a tomato removed. I’m no etiquette ambassador but surely being a bit pleasant and polite is part of being a waitress no?

Overall, the food was good, despite the table chips, and the first two waiting staff we encountered were very nice but the other two...

Went in for a visit at Wednesday lunchtime, when we arrived there were only two small tables occupied. We were seated very quickly and ordered our food and drinks. The drinks arrived quickly but sadly, this is where the positive experience ended.

The restaurant was very cold, so much so that I had to wear my thick outdoor winter jacket and had to put jackets on my two toddlers. The food took a very long time to arrive, almost a full hour. We noticed that the tables before us and after us also had no food. When my ribs arrived they were barely luke warm. My wife's Steak Fritz arrived literally as a bare steak on the plate, none of the fries or vegetables made it to the dish, and the steak was 'just warm'. To the waiters credit, when we mentioned that the rest of my wife's dish was missing, he apologised and quickly brought out the missing veggies and sides.

As the restaurant was so cold, our food that arrived just-warm quickly turned cold before we were halfway done.

The staff seemed to be stressed and avoiding eye contact with customers.

As a restaurant, it was strangely devoid of the smell of food and the background noise of customers talking happily. We noticed other customers also looking around wondering where their food orders were.

This experience was a vast departure from our good experiences with this and other...
