KFC — Restaurant in Amber Valley

Pretty much since it opened I had been really disappointed with the Langley Mill KFC. Over the course of numerous visits they never once got a order right, the food was lousy, and the service dire.

So imagine my surprise and delight when today we visit after a day out, and the drive through experience was great!

The person taking the order on the drive through was cheery and polite. She answered my question about available "Crush'ems", and waited a moment for me to check what everybody wanted. Our order was taken, and we drove around to collect.

The order involved a special request for one of the sandwiches, so took a few minutes to prepare. Everything we ordered was included, fresh, and hot. The sandwiches were all well constructed, and could almost have been used for the poster photography. No soggy chips, no half empty chip bags. The bag included napkins and salt packets, and even the drink order (1 regular Pepsi, 1 Pepsi Max) was right.

With this much change, I would guess that there has been a change of management at the restaurant. The difference is profound, and I hope...

It’s actually shocking how bad this kfc is food takes ages they always get my order wrong the staff are never there so your standing for 5 min waiting none of the machines ever work and then there’s Uber eats you make an order it keeps changing ever my 5 minutes saying a different person is picking it up and that kfc are still wrapping up so I ring kfc and they say the driver will be arriving at kfc in a ‘’minute” they said and I was waiting for another hour kept ringing no answer never got my order and lost a full 10 pounds came back to this review as I ordered again for some stupid reason and it apparently takes 2 hours 30 minutes to wrap 4 cookies not everyone as time on their hands like kfc does half their shift wasted on wrapping a cookie another edit cos been again no idea why but fries have changed ingredients taste absolutely disgusting would be nice for kfc to actually tell someone if there’s a change for people who can get seriously sick if they eat spices which the fries...

My experience whenever I go there is rather frustrating. The staff are never interested, your order is almost always wrong, the waits are terrable too. Eg 13 may, I ordered 2 fillet meals, my burger ended up being a zinger burger and even though we got the food we had to wait another 5 minutes for drinks. The lady soring the food decided someone else had to do the drinks and everyone had to wait for it or ask twice to get them. One gent got a tea instead of a latte. All this and I've not even got to the food that is poorly prepared. I mean how hard is it to put lettuce a fillet and some source in the middle of a bun. Instead you get a surprise box, will the source be in the middle or did they miss and hit the side instead. Meaning only half the burger will have any on and it's gonna be a mess to eat. OK rant over, the above upsets me as I really like KFC more than any other fast food place, but with this one I really do feel like it would be easier to go McDonald's 2 minutes...
