Eddie Rocket's Belfast - Boucher Crescent — Restaurant in Belfast

Firstly I want to say its only getting a one start review because you have to give something, otherwise it’s get zero. The service was terrible. Not only that the place is not busy with 4-5 tables at a time and 4-5 foh staff they look at you standing by the door and turn their back on you keeping you waiting at the door which is just disrespectful. It took the staff about 5-10 minutes to approach us at our table after running after each other trying to figure out if we have ordered yet or not. Then while we were waiting for our food the table sitting across the room of us were waiting for their food which was just sitting on the pass waiting to be served which didn’t happen as the staff was clueless their kept looking at the docket and the food and had no clue about what their doing when the food finally got served it was wrong of course which was already expected. We got our food served we have both ordered the spice bag basket now, not only their were starter portion but we could have easily go to a mcdonalds drive through and order two portions of large fries. The 5 tiny itsy bitsy chicken pieces were brown as if they were left out on the counter uncovered from the night before. Whilst waiting for our food and having our fod even the person in charfe was clueless and was asked for help by a staff member she looked around the place and said you’re fine its not busy leaving all tables complaining at their departure. Some bar staff came and put our cutlery and a glass of some sort of drink down on our table without saying a word when she came back with our actual drink (2pints of fanta) after 10 minutes we asked what that first drink was and all she said was its paid for and still until now we dont know what that glass of drink was. Surely when you serve people you tell them what you put on the table. No one has checked back on us whilst we were eating or after but stared and stared at us…. Very unprofessional. Honestly don't waste your time coming here. For a starter we got the mac and cheese bites, which were awful, i would have rather had nothing, very rubbery and tasted like they had gone off. I got a chicken tender basket which was so unbelievably hard and dry i couldn't bite through it, clearly due to it being reheated after being sat out (i've worked in hospitality, i know these tricks) which would have been excusable but we were the only people there apart from 1 table which left as we started and another which walked out before they even ordered!!! the chips were dry and half decent. My partner got a burger which was bland yet extremely greasy, had about a gallon of cheap cheese sauce which made the burger taste and look a hell of a lot worse. Dont get me wrong, our server was lovely, didnt get his name but a taller man with dark hair however the single chef staring at you through the pass was very off putting. The dried up ketchup on the table and salt shakers alongside the dust on the turning music thing put us off aswell. That same server was very apologetic about our negative experience and took the basket off of the bill, which still came out to over 30 pound which is daylight robbery to be honest. One Star is way too generous. Despite signs throughout informing the public of how they're keeping everyone safe, not a single member of staff was wearing the promised mask, makes me sceptical about how well they followed the other cleanliness practises on the signs.

We opted to sit at their outside tables, and were therefore refused the currently offered 25% discount for eating in. As if that wasn't bad enough, the food was awful, bland, overcooked and cold, and seriously overpriced for what it was, and if the Spice Bag Box had ever been shown a chilli it wasn't paying attention. Would just go to McDonald's or KFC in future.

One member of staff was nice enough to provide some water for our dog, only thing positive I can really say about the whole thing.

PS. Also saw another group where one member started eating before realising that they had handed her the wrong order and bringing it back in - I watched as they handed this bag straight to a Just Eat Driver without even checking the food inside, so some poor soul has been handed food from Just Eat that someone else had handled and started to...
