We booked a table for 2 Friday 13th April 18. Couldn't find the restaurant at first I thought it was in brindle place as I looked at Google maps and it looked to be there. Having arrived soon found it was in broad street. I never checked the address as we got the train over and we are familiar with Birmingham. I must admit if I knew it was in broad street we may have not booked in here being a busy hotspot for people drinking etc etc. Anyway when we arrived it wasn't very busy as we came early we were going out for drinks after so we went for the lunch menu which is on till 7 for the price it was fine 3 course for 13.95 standard poppadoms to start then choice samosa e.g then your main meal which is the curry it's self. All in all the food tasted nice was it the best curry I've had. No. It was just ok to me don't think I'll be returning as there is a lot of competition around and may find a nicer place to eat. If your looking for a cheap night out as a couple then this may be the place it's in a good location next to a load of pubs either in brindle place or broad street. If your willing to spend a bit more on a meal you might enjoy more I would rather do that. We both enjoyed our dinner I wasn't keen on the pilau rice that came out the actual curry sauce and chicken I had tasted nice and the naan bread was nice also. Overall felt the place and food was ok

It was horrible. We ordered food. Firstly the portions were horribly small. Secondly the staff was extremely rude. Anything you said they were JUST ARGUING. Not only the staff but even the manager and owner. They had NO sense of customer service and how to treat their customers. We were with kids and they were telling us we need to shut we need to shut even when we reached an hour before closing time. The food/chicken was uncooked. Biryani was boiled rice literally. When we asked for the bill the waiter said “you liked the food since you ate everything” I mean at 11pm we had no other choice with kids and he was behaving as if we asked for free food. We were paying for it. It was a huge restaurant and there were only 9 people including us 5 and ALL 9 were unhappy even the people on the table next to us puked and couldn’t have their food as it was uncooked. PLEASE DONT GO HERE IF YOU GO TO BIRMINGHAM. Horrible service, horrible food, and even horrible people. Ambience saved the day a tad bit. And then they added gratuity, guts (which thankfully was optional). They should focus on their service rather than falsely accusing the customers and claiming false allegations when nothing was done. Well, when you know you are wrong, it’s easier to point figures at others, easiest way to exit the situation. Anyways, who will they ban when their restaurant was already empty.

We had a very lovely evening here. We arrived shortly after 7pm and was seated straight away. We had the option of being seated by the very pretty lit up mirrored back drop with a window view. The whole restaurant itself was very nice and spacious with a delightful ambience. The staff were very attentive and courteous throughout our evening. We got offered drinks and poppadoms with a variety of tasty sauces and chutneys. For starters we had a mixed grill that was served sizzling on a bed of caramelised onions. It was cooked perfectly with it still being very tender and succulent, not dry at all with a very tasty aroma bringing out all the flavours. For the mains we had a prawn a curry, Bombay potatoes and chicken curry dish that was cooked with tomatoes and peppers (sorry forgot the name of the dish but highly recommend). All dishes were very flavoursome, served hot and very promptly. We also ordered a vegetable pilau rice and a garlic naan bread. Both cooked to perfection. The naan bread was very light and fluffy, both full of flavour. Overall we had an excellent evening. We Highly recommend visiting here, you won’t be disappointed. We most definitely will be returning!

Visited the celebrity restaurant for the first time and I’d have to say that I had a fairly good experience as it was my first time visiting based on a friends recommendation. Me and my friend ordered two of their signature appetisers, the mango and chilli fish which tasted pretty average, personally speaking there was no hint of mango and wouldn’t recommend either, and the second appetiser was Aloo Roshun aur Mushroom which I thought was bland and not flavourful. In terms of main courses, we ordered the Beef Aloo Bagar which I found quite tasty was quite boldly flavourful, and the other signature main course was the garlic chilli chicken which tasted quite nice but could’ve been more better if it was spicy and if the mushroom sauce was more stronger to bring out the flavour of the chicken more. We also had poppadoms with four different types of sauces and I have to say that I loved all three of the sauces with the exception of the yoghurt filled one. The peshwari naan was sweet and so was the garlic naan on top. Overall, our experience was great for first timers and I would recommend this place for anyone that is willing to try something different, dishes with bold flavours and experience fine dining in the heart of city centre with a view of the lovely canals overlooking the sunset. P.S, our server named Tariq was hands on throughout his entire service, was very thoughtful and helpful, as well as going above and beyond to make our...
