On 18/07/22 I had travelled from Plymouth to Birmingham and was looking forward to eating at BBQ hut with my family, unfortunately due to our experience we would not visit here again or recommend anyone to visit. To begin with we were a table of 7 and when we walked in we noticed the restaurant to be completely empty, there were two men who appeared to be cooking, there was no one to greet us or explain where we should sit or just be like “hi we are quite busy today and short of staff we will be with you in a moment, please take a sit and let us know whenever your ready to order” something as simple as this would have made our experience far better and we were willing to be patient regarding food. We took our own initiative to sit down on a table, as there were other tables nearby which still had food left and was not clean. My brother went to speak to one of the staff members and asked if they had menus and told my brother they were on the side but didn’t explain that food would need to be ordered at the till. At no point did any staff make us aware so we were just sat there waiting. At this point after waiting for a while my sister had asked the two men politely if anyone would be able to help, but they were quite abrupt and rude, my sister also advised how we value customer service and it was her second visit where she felt that this treatment has happened. We felt that the staff gave us hostile treatment and when mentioning about being greeted, one of the staff became sarcastic, we had mentioned that if our presence was acknowledged we would have definitely made a big order, I guess this is their loss. This review is not a reflection of the food as we were so put off by the service that we couldn’t bare another moment to order food considering how many other food joints there are in Birmingham who provide a far better service. Personally this place should have just stuck to serving in a hut, because they clearly do not know how to speak to customers or make anyone...
Read moreI used to go to BBQ Hut twice a week for a number of years before it closed down. I never had issues with the service, food or atmosphere and the manager even knew me by name, down to my order.
I have been to BBQ Hut twice in the last month & yesterday experience was horrific. I called my order in & the man who took the call didn't sound too competent, but I went through my order twice and thought he had it. We get to there to collect & the order is immediately wrong, as the guy who took the order decided to change the burger I requested to something else, just because I asked for turkey rashers, which you can have as an extra topping for £1.50. The order was re-done, but it was wrong again, so it was corrected for the third time. I asked for chicken wings, and they were not even done, & then the man decided to argue with me regarding my order. His mathematical skills were poor & customer service skills even worse. I ended up going to You Want Beef? instead for the rest of my meal, as all I had was a burger. (FYI: You Want Beef? - are great, never any issues there).
Since the new management has taken over, no one know what they are doing, how to listen or respect people and it is an embarrassment. I will not recommend or be...
Read moreFirstly wow. This place is amazing. A lovely women welcomed us to this bbq hut. We were welcomed to our seats. My family and I sat in a cozy and warm place with comfy chairs and a toasty radiator to keep us warm in this minus weather. We ordered our food and it was really worth the wait. We ordered a loaded cajun box meal, this came with 3 pieces of cajun chicken, cajun sauce, chips and a massive chicken burger. The chicken was tender and the chips was nice and crispy. The sauce was amazing and complimented the chicken and the chips very well. Next we ordered a big Angus burger and it was worth every penny everyone should try this. Finally we ordered the Mexicanos burger this burger was packed with meat and Mexican nachos, It was very delicious and very satisfying to eat. Lastly we ordered a drink and it was not any drink. It was the Ferrero roche milkshake. It came in about 2 mins and it was impressive. It is very hard for a place to make a good ferrero milkshake but I was not disappointed. I am very thankful for this place and how they treat there costumers with nothing but respect big up to Abubakar and his wonderful team we heavily recommend this place loved it to the core we will be definitely...
