The Appleyard — Restaurant in Borough of Swale

Just want to say a huge thank you to all members of staff who made my sisters wedding day absolutely beautiful yesterday. Shout out to Mike, Claire and Sarah for making the entire day come together from beginning to end. We haven't been the most easiest to accommodate for, last minute changes and last minute stress but at every turn we have had support that went above and beyond. The service room was organised beautifully, the welcome drinks were prompt and handed around, all staff had welcoming smiles, and the venue room - Wow, it looked incredible. From arriving to an empty room to drop off to then returning and seeing it cleaned and dressed to perfection was excellent. You could really see the staff had gone all out to make sure it looked as good as it did. The food was excellent, three courses all served fresh and hot per table, generous portions given for each course. It really was lovely. The buffet was lush, again, so much food to offer and the cake was cut for guests and displayed on a platter alongside the buffet. Bar staff were incredible, smiley chatty and no one was left waiting to long. All in all, I cannot fault one part of the day. It was delivered beautifully and the end result couldn't have been achieved without the wonderful staff at the Appleyard! Personal thanks to Mike from me, for making sure I was happy with how things were running throughout. I appreciate all the help and support. I didn't actually manage to get any photos, but I think Sarah did - hopefully she is able to post a few. We shall all definitely be returning to try out the carvery in the near future 🐷

We got married here in September 2021 using the £2000 wedding package and it was absolutely amazing. Everything we wanted it to be. Everything was decorated exactly the way we had asked and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The ceremony was perfect with staff on hand for any last minute issues or changes. The food for the wedding breakfast was absolutely spot on. All the guests commented on how lovely it was. The buffet was also delicious with far more food then we could eat and the cake was cut up and displayed perfectly. Also had the sweet cart which was yummy. The DJ was very nice and played all the music that we had arranged beforehand as well as other songs and by the end everyone was up dancing. The day and the evening were wonderful and its not something I will forget in a hurry. The staff were friendly and very quick at serving drinks and food. There are only 2 things I would say could do with some improvement (that's not to say it ruined the day in any way but maybe a thought for future weddings) the music that I had arranged to play whilst walking down the Isle and at the end of the ceremony had to be put onto a memory stick and on the day it didn't play in the order I wanted so maybe staff could come up with a way to make playing music easier. Also the place where photos are taken could use a bit of sprucing up maybe a nice background or some flowers as at the moment it's just bushes. However neither of these things effected the day and everyone had a brilliant time. Would definitely recommend for any event or even just for food !!! Wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone at the Appleyard, you made our wedding day perfect! The food was absolutely amazing and plentiful. Everyone commented on how lovely the food was. All the ladies were really lovely and helpful on the day. I wasn’t really sure what to expect for the room and how it would be laid out, well I couldn’t believe how lovely it was. Little twinkly lights, lovely atmosphere room. The option to play music via Bluetooth. The table was pretty with little flower arrangements. Honestly; I couldn’t be more thankful and delighted with the day. Thank you so much to everyone involved, from booking to the day, everything was easy and everyone was so helpful. Thank you....
