We visited the Bristol Loaf after a trying Saturday morning shopping trip around Cabot Circus and Broadmead. Feeling slightly worse for wear and in serious need of a pick me up, it provided the perfect remedy.

A short walk through the stylish interior led us to a welcoming Brew Bar offering two single origin espressos (roasted by Extract and Ritual) and two filter coffees. While consulting with the knowledgeable barista we could feel our mind wandering… not to how much money we must have spent last night or to whether anyone saw our extremely suspect dance moves, but just to the right of us: a counter absolutely laden with delicious looking, freshly baked pastries! The temptation was real. After collecting our thoughts and wiping the drool from our chin, we ordered, paid and found a table.

The coffee was top notch: a smooth, tasty latte with perfectly frothed milk that went down a treat. And as for the pastry… it was enormous! (The cinnamon roll was actually bigger than my head, no exaggeration!) In summary, great service, brilliant coffee and top-quality pastries. The Bristol Loaf also offer artisan loaves, substantial breakfast and lunch meals, evening plates and natural wines from Native Vine. We can’t...

I just got really bad experience with my wife this morning just after 10am. I went there waiting and deciding what sort of breakfast we should be having.

I was standing behind someone in a queue but I wasn't sure whether he'd been served already as he was just on his phone and didn't seem to be waiting to be served, so I asked him if he was in the line and he mocked me because of my English and humiliated me out loud in front of everyone in the cafe in a loud, dramatic, passive aggressive way, so I questioned him on his attitude and told him I wanted to know if he was waiting to order or not.

The staff just stared and smirked and didn't help to clarify the queue situation. We ended up leaving and as we were leaving we were still being watched by a member of staff. It made me feel very humiliated and unwelcome with the smirking and lack of help from the staff. I won't be coming again, but on the front of the building there was a beautiful BLM design, so I thought this would be a welcoming place for people, but instead my English was mocked by a customer and the staff didn't help. I'm now sat in work, feeling hurt and...

After having not one, but two incredible roasts at The Beacon Bristol Loaf, I can confidently say this place knows how to do a roast right! Highly recommend.

Great portion size, good price. Everything is cooked to perfection, from the crispy, golden roast potatoes and perfect veggies to the tender, flavorful meat and rich, velvety gravy. Yum!

The service is consistently excellent too— attentive, friendly and well-paced, making the whole experience a joy every time :)

I also find myself popping in regularly for coffee now— Hana makes the best cup! Smooth, perfect temp and always just right. Her warm, welcoming approach and big smile never fail to brighten my day.

I’ll definitely be back—for the amazing roasts, for Hana, for coffee and for the lovely atmosphere that makes The Beacon Bristol Loaf so...

Had a Sunday roast - food was delicious and plentiful! Both the beef and the veggie option of mushroom wellington were really tasty. Nice option of soft drinks available, shrubs and kombucha and all sorts. We booked a table for 12pm which is the start of their roast service, we were the first ones eating. It was busy with cafe service, possibly busier than usual due to the Christmas craft fair. We still got to order promptly and food came out fairly quickly. More tables had booked for lunch at 1pm and staff were getting pretty rushed off their feet with setting up tables, new orders, bringing food out. So we did have to wait a while to be able to pay. But overall it was a lovely lunch and would definitely recommend!

Breakfast: Chai latte with streaky bacon sandwich, acidity, rich and tasty flavour. Good recipe and cooking skills. The waitress is friendly 😊 Environment is clean and cozy, highly recommend this café 👍 ------- Lunch: Buttermilk fried chicken sandwich is my favourite!!! So juicy and tender fried chicken with crispy outer layer ❤️❤️❤️❤️ ------- Dinner: Pan try Hake is tasty as other dishes! The evening cakes earl grey, almond & honey mascarpone cheese is great! Elegant and not too sweet! Highly recommended 👍👍 I like the new evening menu ❤️ Btw the cakes only show up on Thursday, Friday and Saturday after 4 or 5 o'clock (the waitress told me)
