I visited here recently with my colleagues from work for our Christmas party. Considering we booked it weeks in advance ( with a complete list of names and food orders) and the amount of money we were spending I'm afraid I have to say I was less than impressed. To begin with the seating arrangements were rubbish with us being split into 3 tables . Once seated we waited at least15 minutes for them to take drinks orders and they only did do when requested by a member if our management team . Their initial response was could we ho to the bar and order our own drinks? Well no . There's 35 people all wanting drinks how will going to the bar help? Then we waited at least another 15 minutes for our " PRE-ORDERED " poppadoms to arrive. They knew how many we'd ordered well in advance and in my opinion these should have been brought out far quicker than they were. Not to mention that we'd ordered 2 each and they didn't bring anywhere near that amount to begin with. Then the starters came out . This is where it descended into chaos. Admittedly a few people had forgotten what they'd ordered but the restaurant had a list of orders with names so they could have shouted out names instead one of the waiters went around shouting ( quite rudely in my opinion) " wakey wakey who ordered this?". My starter was almost stone cold as were several others. Then the main meals came out. Well parts of it did. They brought some of the mains out quite quickly but the rice and breads took ages to come out by which time the mains were again almost cold. Some of the mains also took an age to come out. In summary- the food at best was average and frankly the service was inadequate and at times downright rude. Considering we were spending the best part of £500 with drinks and meals i would have expected them to be a little better prepared and a whole lot more...
Read moreAbsolutely appalling service. Ordered over £50 worth of food at 7pm. Was told that the order would be delivered at 8:20pm. Order still hadn't arrived by 8:40pm, so we contacted the restaurant who said it was being delivered and then hung up on us. Still no food by 8:50pm, so we contacted them again and they said they couldn't give us a delivery time now but said they'd ring the delivery driver and ring us back to let us know a time. We heard nothing by 9pm, so tried to ring again. By this point, the line was either busy or nobody was picking up. By 9:20pm, we had tried to call the restaurant over 50 times and couldn't get through. This was two hours and 20 minutes after placing our original order, and with two hungry children waiting for their food. Food arrived at 9:25pm, by which point we'd fed the children something else. Really disgusted with the service tonight, and will definitely not be ordering from Red...
Read moreWe've been regular customers at Red Peppers (used to be Bilash) for over 10 years and have noticed a real decline in the quality of the food. Last night we ordered over £25 of food and it arrived stone cold. We live a very short distance from the restaurant, when I called to complain I was passed between 3(?) people and the phone was even put down and ignored for a few minutes while I was being passed about. Not one apology from anyone and the last guy I spoke to was just rude and was not concerned about my compliant at all, couldn't have cared less. We ended up microwaving the food just so we could eat it but it was horrible anyway. We won't be ordering from them again, just...
