Visited Restaurant yesterday for Dinner , First impression the interior looked quiet nice staff were mostly lovely except for one guy who was very quiet as he sat us down , did not feel a warm welcome as I arrived which was a bit disappointing but wasn’t too much of a let down compared to the food, my partner and I have visited a lot of restaurants throughout the years this one by far the worst , started with the bread board as we normally have bread to begin with, bread was definitely old and could barely put the butter on the bread as butter was very cold , the bread board was also very strange as they had a multiple selection of different breads very chunky as well which personally I understand the concept but I’d much rather have one loaf of fresh bread sliced properly with room temp butter, moving on to the starters I had the meze chorizo and my partner the prawns, the chorizo I thought lacked in taste and was extremely greasy and the portion size was more like a main rather than a starter , my partners prawns where extremely chewy definitely not fresh at all, for the main course we had a vegan burger for myself and the sea bass for my partner , I ordered the vegan burger as I like to try vegetarian food even tho I’m not vegetarian I thought it would be interesting to find out what it tasted like , first of the burger had a weird taste to it but personally didn’t mind it too much , the best part of the burger however was the lettuce as I think it was the only fresh thing I had, I didn’t even taste the tomato as it had no flavour at all , the cheese inside was very plasticky and buns were completely brittle and squished and they completely fell apart as I continued to eat , with my burger I had ordered wedges one of my favourites , unfortunately got a big let down when they were undercooked and burnt at the same time (bigger sized wedges were undercooked and the smaller ones were burnt slightly). The sea bass was frozen And lacked any kind of taste. Worst food I’ve had in a while. We didn’t even end up ordering desserts as we were so dissatisfied with everything else. I hope the owner of the restaurant really takes this to heart and starts implementing some changes as I won’t be coming back unless the food changed and is up...

Went to middletons steakhouse with my partner for Valentine’s Day, our first night out for ages. Had the table booked for weeks! Booked time off work to make sure we weren’t late etc. got to the restaurant bank on 7.30. Was waiting 10 minutes to be seated (or even acknowledged) by staff. They finally seat us at 7.40, put us by the toilets in the coldest corner of the restaurant to which the server couldn’t even get to us without having to barge past other tables. We waited 20 more minutes before they had even taken our drinks order. We ordered all of our food and drink at once including starters because we had already had to wait half an hour at this point. Waited a further 15 minutes for our drinks at which point we had been there 45 minutes without our starters or even our drinks. My partner had to walk to the bar to find out where our drinks were to which he was told the server couldn’t find us so they were left on the bar, the waiter told us he would bring them straight over to us, why my partner couldn’t just take them is beyond me. We then waiting a further 10 minutes for him to bring over the drinks!!! At this point we had been in the restaurant 50 minutes without food or a drink. We proceeded to finally drink our drinks whilst still waiting for our starters. The table next to us, who came in 20 minutes after us had received 2 lots of drinks and all their food whilst we had nothing 🤣 not one member of staff approached us all within this time. After an hour and 15 minutes of waiting we called the manager over and told him we weren’t happy and to cancel our food. He then proceeded to tell us a funny story of how our food had been sent over to another table who ate the food but didn’t want to pay for it! He asked us if we wanted to wait for more food or just leave. We said we didn’t want to wait anymore and we’re really not happy and as a gesture of good will he advised he would cover our drinks for us. Absolutely awful service, awful staff. Used to be my favourite restaurant but oh my god what a disappointment it now is. Absolutely...

Visited for valentines with my partner. We had visited previously on several different special occasions and have never had a single issue! On arrival we were seated quite quickly in the back part of the restaurant. All was good as first, our drinks order was taken promptly and so was our food order. We had decided against starters and to go for deserts after instead. However then came the wait, it must have been about 35 minutes since ordering that we received our food, which is a standard wait time so was fine, however we received our food before we had even been brought our drinks! You could clearly see that they were understaffed, we even had a chef bring over our food! The steak was almost impossible to cut and I had found a large piece of foil/packaging in my garlic butter, which I left on the side of the plate to show a waiter. However no one came to check to see if our food was okay or even if we wanted anymore drinks. I tried catching the eyes of several waiters but just felt ignored, working in the industry myself i understand the struggles of being understaffed, but this was just ridiculous. We then waited about 35 minutes for our plates to even be cleared, and asked if the food was okay, in which I told the waiter about the foil/steak. He was apologetic, and said he would sort something out, in which he did and the steak meal was comped and straight away handed the card machine, not even being asked if we wanted deserts. At this point we did still want them but wasn’t brought a menu so had to look online on their website for it, asked if he could give us a couple of minutes. The couple next to us had been waiting 1h30 mins for their main meals. The waiter never returned and after only complaining about the mains we just felt like from then we were completely ignored, it was 30 minutes from the point we had said we needed a minute regarding ordering deserts and no longer wanted them now. Finally we were able to pay and left, like I said we have had many great experiences here before but this time will probably put us off...

I went to one of these in Norwich once, so I recognised the name and remembered a decent meal. Never been in this one before, but I was aware of it’s existence - it’s very close to the holiday Inn, where I have ‘conferenced’ on many occasions prior…. Anyway, decided to pop in here on a Wednesday night - it was pretty quiet, only a couple of other tables of customers in at about 6:30. Seated straight away, as you’d imagine. In a booth no less. The beer was Peroni, as it should be. The menu is decent here, with grills, burgers, pizza etc. Opted to have a garlic cheese bread to start - you can’t go wrong with that. Nice thin base with a generous helping of mozzarella on top - tasty and exactly as it should be, if a bit large. I must admit, afterwards I found myself wishing I’d had the baked camembert though, as it is rare to see a restaurant offering that as anything other than a sharer, and I do love a good camembert. For a main I made a terrible mistake - not terrible in the sense the food was bad - it was really good, it was just absolutely huge. I wanted a chicken burger but failed to notice that it also included double beefburger patties as well. As you can imagine, this was most fulsome. Tasty, but I could not finish. This is a lesson to read the menu more carefully… Food was all served hot and freshly cooked, and service was very good. Overall, a decent experience. I think there may be free parking outside from 6:30pm, so that is also something to behold. By way of a note of caution - the restaurant has two exits, if you exit into the shopping centre after about 6 you will likely find yourself wandering around a locked shopping centre. This happened, the experience was real. Found a way out via a reception area, but the security guard on the desk seemed vexed.

We arrived a few minutes early and we got the impression our table was occupied as we were placed behind the bar which looked like an overflow area as it was behind the bar and the lights were not on and there was broken furniture and boxes around making it feel like their storeroom. A few minutes after we arrived another table was seated next to us and the lights were turned on so it didn't feel we were placed there out of the way. James the manager was great and took our order, we ordered chicken wings, baked camebert and pate for starters, we asked for butter and it was not to much trouble for them to provide it. We ordered, fillet, sirloin and rump steaks also the seabass, all of which were lovely and it was great that the fries were hot as most times when we order them at other places they are not, my daughter also ordered a side of mac and cheese which she said was nice. For dessert we ordered a sundae, a cheeseboard and 2 chocolate fondant and it was a shame they only had 1 left so we ordered the cheesecake, my daughter said it was ok but she preferred the fondant when she tried mine. Sitting where we were we did feel we were not part of the restaurant but it was quiter which we appreciated, the waiters and waitresses did however maked sure we did feel part of it and made sure we were looked after, hence the great review. Overall we had a great night and that staff especially James are fab so will definitely be going back.

Came for brunch a couple of weeks ago with 2 friends. I had been there many years ago and couldn't quite remember the experience then. It was certainly good to visit again. The time we arrived was really quiet so we got the best of service, the staff were attentive to our order (though he got one part of the order mixed up but he graciously rectified things) Bottomless brunch is great for those who like their drinks 😊 the portion sizes were huge...ordered hotdogs and nachos thinking it would be regular sizes, by the time our food came out, the table was packed with plates of food 🙌🏼😁 Great tasting, well seasoned food. The mocktails we had were lovely too (strawberry fizz is the best in my opinion) The wait time was about 25mins. I found the cheese on the nachos a bit too much but still great tasting. For the wine lovers, you get bottomless prosecco all throughout your stay. Many options on the menu for brunch including vegetarian. Kids friendly restaurant. It can get really noisy once packed with people which was the case an hour and half after we sat down. The bathroom was decent but not well lit. Parking around here is paid. It's in the heart of the city centre and about 10-15mins walk from the train station. The decor is ok and I like the fact that you can see the chefs in the kitchen while they cook. I would recommend it for a casual hangout 😊
