Pizza Hut Restaurants Tower Retail Park — Restaurant in East Suffolk

We make an annual day trip from Suffolk to Hemsby and tend to stop at Pizza Hut on the way home. I feel since Covid it's gone down hill a bit sadly and I feel for the staff. You now have to order on an app and have to choose to give a tip before you've been served...speaking of which if you go on a weekday or weekend lunch and go for the buffet, the staff involvement is give you a bowl, plate and glass for you to get your own food and drink, so don't really see the point of the servers anymore. Again I feel for the servers as they've had their jobs and personal involvement taken away.

We went on a weekend evening so they didn't have the pizza buffet. The unlimted drinks and ice cream factory were the highlights. The pizza itself was greasy and disappointing. My wife ordered a stuffed crust and literally left most of them as they were stodgy and bland. I didn't give a tip at the start of our visit as I prefer to give a % at the end based on service provided. Well 0% was correct as we had no service and I even had to clear the table of plates and dishes to make room for dessert. Maybe it's because I gave no tip at the start, I don't know, just bizarre.

Previous visits before Covid were 5; the staff were great in the past as was the pizza, but now sadly the staff are now redundant (not literally, yet). Now it's 2, with +points awarded for the unlimited drinks and dessert, but for a family of 3 we paid £50 for a basic meal and this was not good value for money based on the poor pizza. Not good since it's called...

Popped into this one over many years around opening time and not much put out until a good crowd is there. If arrive after opening or half an hour after opening was always told 5 minute wait for food to come out...(fully understand) no one wants to waste food these days. But lately now nearly an hour after opening all was there of hot food was pasta with no sauses and only 2 different topping pizzas and the waitress half way through your plate has confidence to ask is everything ok with your food...what food!! Hardly buffet with 2 pizzas and just pasta. Loved this place for years for lunch buffet but please don't bother coz just not worth ya moneys! Cheaper and know what your getting for your money 500 yards round the corner...

I was very disappointed with our visit. We haven't been for quite a while so my son decided he wanted to go for his birthday. The lady that served us was very helpful and friendly.

However I was first disappointed with the salad bar. I love the potato salad but there wasn't any nor was there any pasta salad. The selection was very poor. We then went to order our mains but there wasn't any deep pan bases left so I had to have Italian base I'm not keen on. I found the pizza was poor quality with hardly any toppings and barely any cheese!

It was a lot of money for such disappointment and not great quality food.

I've always loved Pizza Hut food but definitely didn't enjoy it last night.

Such a shame!
