Nana’s Tea Room is an absolute delight — the kind of place that makes you feel instantly at home the moment you step through the door. Tucked away in beautiful Skipton, it’s everything you’d hope for in a traditional English tea room and more. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and wonderfully nostalgic, with charming décor that feels both elegant and cosy. What truly sets Nana’s apart, though, is the wonderful team who run it. The management clearly care deeply about every detail — from the presentation of the home made food to the friendly, personal service that makes each visit special. The staff are a credit to them: always smiling, attentive without ever being intrusive, and genuinely pleased to make guests feel comfortable and valued. The tea selection is excellent and the homemade cakes are divine — light, fresh, and full of flavour. The scones are among the best I’ve ever had: perfectly baked, with just the right crumble, served with generous helpings of clotted cream and jam. Whether you’re popping in for a quiet cup of tea, a catch-up with friends, or a traditional afternoon tea experience, Nana’s is the perfect spot. It’s a true Skipton treasure — one that makes you want to linger just a little longer. A huge thank you to the lovely team and management for creating such a welcoming haven. Highly recommended — I can’t wait to return!

The most unusual way to serve a Cortado that I have ever seen. Be that as it may it was actually a very good coffee indeed. Had a very fine scone as well.

Went to an Easter Wreath making evening, with cocktails and nibbles. Great fun with my sisters. A round of drinks compared favourably to pub prices and we could make a mess, be creative and chat away to our heart’s content. The space is compact so numbers are low and therefore the chat flows and new friends are made. We will attend every event we can - because it has the added advantage of being just across the road from my sister’s house! Lovely to see a small business doing what is necessary to thrive and generate new custom. Good luck...
