So booked a table at this place last week of December. (First time going to one down here and haven’t been to a Pizza Hut in over 5 years). Booked a table online as it was easier with the holidays. I realised I think I put in my email address wrong as I didn’t receive a confirmation email and also I think I put the wrong number of people, so I decided to email the restaurant with it being the holidays and just explain the situation with all the booking details…anyway me thinking they might not see it in time with it being the holidays and their normal email response time, I decided to give the a ring…the guy I spoke to was nice, turns out I had the right amount of people so I apologised and said thank you for that and that was that… Got an email confirmation a few days beforehand and noted upon their “Special notes” section I was labelled “Angry Booker” …which I was quite taken back by…why on earth had I been labelled this?! And why on earth would you put that kind of note on the booking where the customer can clearly see?! ….
I was in no way an angry Booker there was not any need for me to be angry…ANYWAY, I still give this place 5 Star as the food was very nice and the service was good …I would happily come back to this place…providing I don’t get called an “Angry...
Read moreAs a parent with three young children, the experience of ordering via a QR code, followed by the tedious process of registering a credit card and getting it authorised just to place an upfront food order, was incredibly frustrating. It took 35 minutes just to complete our order. This system completely removed the human touch of simply ordering through a waitress and paying via a card machine.
If this is the so-called "New Way" under Pizza Hut’s new ownership, reducing waiting staff and pushing customers into a self-serve model, then charging £21.99 for a single pizza is beyond unreasonable. It's outrageous.
Frankly, I could get a self-service pizza from Tesco, finish my weekly shop, cook the pizza, and still be done faster than it took to place this order. Our total meal cost was £98.95 for a completely soulless experience.
We won’t be back. The company clearly no longer prioritises people - either customers or staff. It’s truly disheartening to see such a nostalgic and once-loved brand reduced to this. The end of Pizza...
Read moreGenerally, I’ve had a good experience with the food and the cleanliness.
I want to draw notice to the staff. On more than one occasion I have had a good experience with staff turned sour at the very end. They are brilliant until they have to pass me the check. When I click on the card machine that I don’t want to add a tip I usually get a passive aggressive response from the staff. Once, the girl serving me slammed my receipt on the table and stomped away as if having a tantrum.
I feel as though this is unacceptable given that I’ve paid for my meal in full. The staff don’t know if I’m financially crippled and have been saving for this meal for a while. They have no clue if I’m poor so why are they judging me for not giving them money. Generally I’m torn between wanting to return because of the shaming response I am constantly given.
I hope the staff can be reminded that tips are a privilege and not a right. I would happily tip if there was exceptional service but when I, or anyone doesn’t, it shouldn’t be a...
