🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5 — A Temple of Cuban Soul in the Heart of Harrogate
There are places you eat. There are places you drink. And then there are places like Revolución de Cuba Harrogate — where you feel. Where joy is poured into your glass, music moves through your bloodstream, and the air itself is laced with rhythm, heat, and heart.
This is not just a restaurant. It is a celebration. A bold, beautiful, intoxicating love letter to life, food, music, and human connection.
🇨🇺 The Spirit
From the moment you step inside, it’s like you've been transported. You’re no longer in North Yorkshire — you're in Old Havana, under warm lights, surrounded by vibrant tiles, palm leaves, rustic wood, bursts of tropical colour, and the rich hum of Latin music pulsing through the floorboards. There is soul in every inch of this place.
It doesn’t feel fabricated — it feels alive. Cuban passion lives here.
🌺 The People
The staff are nothing short of extraordinary. Not just servers or bartenders — they are hosts of the fiesta, guardians of the rhythm. They move with grace, joy, and humour. They don’t just bring you food; they bring you warmth, conversation, laughter, memories. The kind of service that makes you feel known, welcomed, and held.
Not a moment felt transactional. Every interaction was genuine — like being welcomed into someone’s home and handed a mojito before you’ve even taken off your coat.
🎶 The Atmosphere
It’s all vibes. And not in the superficial way — this is authentic, magnetic energy. The air is thick with rhythm — Cuban beats, salsa, jazz, joy — sounds that make your shoulders sway without you noticing.
Live music nights, DJ sets, or even just the background playlist — the soundtrack to your evening here is always electric, alive, and unforgettable.
You could come alone and leave dancing with strangers. You could come broken and leave healed.
🌮 The Food — A Love Affair
Where to even begin?
The pineapple salsa — bright, tangy, sweet, and kissed with citrus fire. It’s like sunshine met spice and created heaven.
The pico de gallo is a burst of fresh joy — tomatoes, onion, herbs — chopped with precision, served with passion, and alive with flavour.
And the churros… oh, the churros. Golden, crisp, dusted with cinnamon and sugar, warm like a hug, dipped into velvety chocolate that tastes like sin and silk at once. They’re the kind of dessert that makes you close your eyes and whisper “yes.”
Even the smaller plates are bold — bursting with smoky spices, sweet marinades, fresh herbs, and fire-kissed meats or vibrant veggies. Every dish feels like it was made with dancing hands.
🍹 The Cocktails — Joy in a Glass
These are not just drinks. These are art, theatre, and rhythm in liquid form.
From classic mojitos muddled perfectly to fruity Daiquiris and flaming Zombies, every cocktail is made with flair, love, and serious attention to flavour. The bartenders are masters of their craft — part mixologist, part magician.
And the offers? Phenomenal. Whether it’s 2-for-1 cocktails, 40% off food, £8 lunch, bottomless brunch, or a spontaneous happy hour, there’s always a reason to raise a glass.
🌞 The Feeling
There is a reason people come back to Revolución de Cuba. It’s not just the food. Or the music. Or the beautiful decor. It’s the feeling. The spirit. The Cuban heartbeat that pulses through every corner of the space.
You come here to live. To laugh. To reconnect with yourself. To dance without needing to dance. You leave not just full — but lifted. Glowing. Joyful.
💃🏼 Final Words
Revolución de Cuba Harrogate is more than a place to eat — it’s where passion becomes a place. It’s where colour, flavour, and music come together in harmony. It’s a Cuban sunrise in a Yorkshire night. It’s where you come to remember that life is meant to be felt, and food is meant to be celebrated.
If you’re ever in Harrogate — go. Go hungry. Go open. Leave full — in every sense of the word.
Thank you to the team for bringing pure joy, beauty, and soul to this town. Viva...
Read moreWe visited today for a bottomless brunch. The place was very empty and I think there were only two staff members working. Overall I'd say we had an okay experience.
To start, they brought us a mimosa each and some chips and salsa. The salsa was very sweet, definitely store bought and tasted a lot like the one from the jar you can get at the supermarket, which disappointed us a bit as we expected something a little bit more authentic.
We had the breakfast burrito and the chorizo hash for food. The burrito was okay, it was very greasy but was the better dish of the two. I wasn't a fan of the chorizo hash, everything on the dish tasted strongly of peppers which just wasn't to my taste.
For the drinks, we went for the standard bottomless brunch so there were only a couple of options to choose from. We opted for the rum punch for most of our drinks, which was quite good and presented well every time, the bar tender did a good job. I did want to have some strawberry daiquiris but they told me they were unavailable as the mix hadn't frozen yet. Again this was quite disappointing as the only drinks I was interested in were the rum punch and the daiquiri, so I just kept ordering the same drink.
The server was really nice, but there were quite a few times that we sat with empty glasses waiting for him to ask if we wanted to order anything else. We also felt that we were inconveniencing them a bit by ordering drinks but obviously it is a bottomless brunch and you pay to have bottomless drinks!
All in all, I wouldn't go for a bottomless brunch here again personally. We usually go to turtle bay for bottomless brunch and they have much better food and so many drinks options, I just couldn't warrant...
Read moreMy wife and I visited a week ago. Food was goood and the place is really interesting but, what should have been a good experience was ruinned when two guys started moving the table and chairs right next to us and brought in a lot of boxes, guitar cases, mike stands, etc and left them right next to our table and behind my chair. They were the musicians beginning to set-up for their session and it was clear that we were sat in what they use as their "stage". Without any discussion it appeared that they wanted to force us to move by leaving ther equipment around us and making a bit of a stir. We had finished our mains and had just ordered desserts. The musicians didn't have the courtesy to talk to us before setting up and suggesting we might benefit by moving to another table. The waiters and manager also failed to come to talk to us or warn us before we ordered the desserts that the music was about to start. I sent a message to the head office on their "Contact Us" page to notify them of our bad experience but, it is now 6 days and I have not even had the courtesy of a "we're looking into it" reply. What should have been a good experience turned into a nasty one. I think the staff and management should show some respect to their customers and a lot more...
