This experience was from buyagift and was gifted as an anniversary present We were both excited as love stone baked sour dough pizza When we got there we told the waiter that we were here for our booking It took them 15 minutes to seat us inspite the fact that the restaurant was empty Once eventually seated the waiter expressed several times that it was his first day so had to clarify our gift The manger came and asked us to go on the website and generate another code, prior to this we had already generated about 10! Anyway, we asked for tap water which took another 15 minutes to arrive, maybe they went to Buxton to purchase this! The manger then left us to ponder over our starters which we ordered and that took about 30 minutes to arrive At this point a young family were seated, we did think to tell them to leave as they could be waiting a while with small children but no…drinks arrived instantly as did the main, wow!! Magic! We finished our starters and expected to be approached so we could order our mains, at this point we had to call the waiter who took our order, again after a 30 minute wait we received our pizzas but had to get the attention of the manager for this, by this time I was losing my appetite so we asked for the desserts as soon as the pizzas came, the manger thought it funny to ask if we were in a rush! No, we are just sick of waiting! There was no way we were going to wait another 30 minutes for that We ate and had left over pizza packed Please remember that the restaurant is still empty so service should have been pretty instant I was exhausted and just couldn’t wait to get out of there What was supposed to be a lovely anniversary lunch turned out to be an unnecessary boring and tedious nearly 3 hour experience Sorry, we left very deflated and unhappy, this is not an eatery we will visit again unfortunately and we do visit loads as love to...
Read moreThe other evening after doing some Christmas shopping, me and the wife decided to have our tea at Prezzo in the White Rose Shopping Centre.
We were seated and drinks were ordered. Mine came and a water to accompany my wife's wine but after 5 minutes or so we had to remind them about the wine.
We both ordered the CARNE PICCANTE (Spicy Beef) Calzone
"Seasoned chicken, meatballs, mushrooms and crushed chillies with bolognese sauce and our blend of cheese"
They may as well have called this The Inferno Calzone!
I love spicy food and have a fairly high tolerance but this was insane.
My wife however not a great lover of spicy food and she could only manage to eat less than half her meal. What a waste.
Seriously, in the description it should say "smothered in crushed chillies" As you can see from the photo.
When the plates were taken away and the usual "was everything alright" question was posed we explained and then bizarrely asked if we wanted something else from the menu???
I ordered a drink to cool my burning mouth which by the time it arrived it was too late.
I then ordered a dessert,
CHOCOLATE AND MINT ICE CREAM A chocolate biscuit base filled with mint ice cream with chocolate shavings.
That was a plus point, delicious.
The main server we had who seemed to be the senior server was utterly miserable throughout, whereas others were nicer and could actually form a smile.
This was our second visit here I don't think we'll be going back...
Read moreRubbish, don't even bother. Arrived and ordered at 12pm (first in), starter arrived at 1220pm and then waiting 15mins for them to collect plates. Normal restaurants make the main meal 'just in time' for when you've finished the starter.... Nope not prezzo.
So here it gets worse: 1245 - asked is our main ready, answer: I'll go check. 1255 - ask another waiter (Guy called Mihai doing Movember with dodgy tash), is our main ready. He get his handheld machine and said no yet as your order was only placed at 1245 for mains when we collected your starter plates. My response, we finished at 1230, waited 15mins for you lot to collect plates, does that mean now order my main? His response yes unless you tell us to bring out in one go.
I said check if its ready to come out, he did and it wasn't even being prepared so I said give me a bill, we'll pay and leave.
100pc no customer service, poor considering we had two kids with us. I'm fine prezzo manager reading this as his childish response when leaving was 'have a lovely day, more lovely then mine'.
If you don't want to be in hospitality then go elsewhere. You're poor attitude reflects on your company. Best part, I'd seen what seemed their regional managers doing an inspection on the place that day, will they read this, I guess not but...
