Visited Bar Elba rooftop terrace bar located on Waterloo Road on two occasions. The first to celebrate a first reunion of friends after 3 months of lockdown. A great location and very importantly very good social Distancing protocols in place. All tables have barcodes and all orders are via scanning the barcode with your phone and then placing your orders via the Bar Elba website menu. Your order is brought to your table by the friendly bar staff. Tables are well spaced and the very large outside rooftop terrace area is very large with excellent views over the City. Great photo opportunities especially at night when the numerous fairy lights are switched on. The drinks are mainly cocktails and spirits but they do have some beers. I was however disappointed about the lack of a decent wine list. I would highly recommend bar Elba for all sorts of events from a date night to a group of friends night out.

Absolute rip off and tragic experience. We paid £116.60 for two people for the lost in Ibiza bottomless brunch. For that price you have expectations for quality drinks and food. Unfortunately the food arrived cold and looked like something you’d be served at a children’s party. You get a bottle of cheap sparkling wine, a poor tasting welcome drink with no alcohol and a pitcher of pre-mixed cocktail, also with barley any alcohol. We drank everything on the table to try and get our moneys worth but honestly left more sober than we arrived. The glasses were also dirty and you have to eat off wooden cutlery from paper plates. It looked like bar Elba relied on people coming into London for a hen/stag/birthday and them being battered before even entering. The entertainment was poor. The kind of thing you would see on a booze cruise in magaluf with 18 year olds. For over £55 per person you would expect so much more and a hint of class to the experience, but it was just beyond tragic. It could have not cost more than £10 per person for them to put on. I’ll never go back to bar Elba and will tell all my friends to give it a miss too. Most overpriced experience ever, I want my money back!

I went in January as I received a 50% off code via mail. Cocktails for £5 is definitely a good deal. The hibiscus margarita is wonderful and I would definitely go back for it. The nachos and fries are great too. Here’s why I rated it a 3 star: 1) This place is supposed to be a rooftop, but it’s nowhere as high enough to be one. The ambience isn’t “pretty” per se and there is no view. 2) You also need to take the “stairs” to get there which is definitely a buzz kill (glad I didn’t wear heels). 3) It is bar service only which means if you go on a weekend, you’d need to wait 20-30 minutes in queue to get a drink from the bar. I wouldn’t mind paying extra just to get table service. 4) This was all worth since cocktails were £5, but if I had to go again and take the stairs, wait 30 minutes for a drink, and sit on an uncomfortable chair with absolutely no view, I definitely would not pay full price.

Absolutely shocking. How Bar Elba can advertise their roof top bar and then sit people on a completely different roof under a blue marquee is shocking. Paid £156 for four people, seated at table 15/20 minutes late. Not only disappointed not to be in the bar but also shocked at how poor the service was. Staff were so slow to serve drinks we were only able to drink 3 cocktails per person, I say cocktails I’m fairly confident they didn’t contain alcohol! When we complained, staff avoided coming to table to discuss, once we did get a response were basically told tough. If I could leave a 0 star review I would. Getting refund from bank as agreed from images taken falsely advertised service. Would recommend others disappointed by service to do the same.

A lovely vibrant hidden spot in Waterloo. Was served quite quickly and it was a perfect spot for a group of people to have a catch up. Beautiful views too!

Had an amazing time at the Ibiza brunch. Staff are very friendly and kept the drinks flowing. Amazing views. Would definitely go back for a evening out.
