Big portion with small money
Culture Grub is just few mins walk from Waterloo station. I usually go there for lunch before or after meeting because the service is quick and the price is good with huge serving. I was there again for lunch with my colleague before a meeting last week.

WHAT WE GOT ๐Tokyo Style Fried Chicken ๐ฅPork Dumplings ๐ฒHot & Sour Soup ๐Laksa ๐ฅฌStir Fried Mixed Veg
Hot & Sour Soup was my fav and I ordered it almost every time. It was loaded with wooden ear, egg drops and meat. I loved the thickness and the hot, spicy & sour flavour were just right. Love it ๐๐๐
Laksa came with lots of ingredients including king prawn, fish cake and vegetables. The broth was flavourful and tasty. Tasty๐๐๐
Tokyo Style Fried Chicken is new on the menu. Chicken thigh was lightly coated and deep fried. Crispy outside and juicy inside. Also, the chicken meat was well seasoned with ginger and soy sauce. Love it๐๐๐
Pork dumpling was so juicy and tasty (Swap to the end to see how the soup leaking out๐คค). The filling was flavourful and moist. Itโs defo a soupy dumpling. Awesome ๐๐๐
I have been Culture Grub for several times before. The portion is always big and the taste of every dish was consistently good. The staffs are cheerful and attentive. Itโs a really good Chinese restaurant...
ย ย ย Read moreA great little find! It was a Sunday evening and my boyfriend and I were extremely hungry and the only thing that was going to fix this was Chinese.
We head out to The Cut as I vaguely remember passing what seemed like a hole in the wall Chinese. We got there and it turned out to be bigger than a hole in the wall but still quite small. It is a modest looking restaurant but you didn't want it to be anything more.
We were greeted by a very friendly waitress who sat us down. We were presented with the menu and there was so much to choose from. The menu consisted of typical Chinese dishes but all of them had a little twist.
We went crazy and ordered far too much food but didn't regret it. Every single dish was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the lean pork & chinese cabbage dumplings, there were sweet, sticky and morish. The salt and chilli squid is definitely a winner.
We had so much food left over that they kindly offered to put it in a bag for us to take home. When the bill came we couldn't believe how cheap it was!
Not only did this place cure our hangovers but we have been back there a few times since and it was just as good as the...
ย ย ย Read moreDon't let the interesting name steer you wrong. This is definitely Asian food culture! We had great service from our server, Kevin. The food literally came out from the kitchen in 5 minutes. Wonderfully fresh and authentic. One dish we tried was the chicken chow mien. Noodles were soft. Onions cooked with a perfect crunch, and the sauce complimented the chicken well. The second dish was spicy Szechuan prawns that had just the right amount of sweet heat paired with fried rice. The restaurant was very clean with 5 tables occupied on a Monday night. Kevin took time to answer all of our tourist questions and was a joy to speak with. I will definitely try this place again before we leave! I hope it will warm up to enjoy their outdoor...
