Had lunch here and was blown away. This is one of the best spots in London, easily up there with Dough Hands or Crisp W6, with none of the faff you normally have to deal with at these pop-ups. This is an actual, standalone restaurant, with bookings, plates, and even - get this - actual cutlery. It's a very beautiful, tastefully decorated and quiet place.
The dough is crispy but not painfully crunchy, more of an elegant crispiness somewhere between a cracker and a croissant, with an element of moistness that makes the whole thing easy to devour. We had the Straciatella and the Martita 2.0 with extra mushroom, both were superb. The toppings are of the highest quality.
Service was very good. Location is very convenient and indeed this is a shockingly good place given that it's so close to the touristic heart of London, where they could probably get away with much worse pizza.
We only tried one starter, the giant olives, which were very tasty. I only tried one of the beers, the Meteor IPA, which I found very good.
Pricing is not cheap, but quite workable for modern London, especially given the location and the quality. I do wish they'd offer a wine below £28. I should point out that this restaurant also does not engage in the concerning trend of Abusive Sauce Monetisation (ASM), charging only for the fancy sauces, not for the basic chili oil, which I felt carried an interesting light pickled note, somewhat reminiscent of the athana you might have with a Gujarati meal.
My one other suggestion is this: please can you add a clear Vegetarian or Vegan marking for the dishes in your menu? Grazie!
To reiterate, this is a superb pizza and I would say a must-visit for any London pizza enthusiasts. I will definitely be coming back to explore the rest...
Read moreAMAZING pizza I had for lunch today. I thought I'd treat myself and what a treat it was.
I didn't book but was lucky to get a table for one. I ordered the Burrata pizza which was just cooked to perfection and a whole burrito was broken and added over the pizza along with fresh basil. The chilli oil was a great addition.
The waiter and chef were lovely to speak to and service was just on point. I left double the usual tip as I thought it was that good. The chef actually overheard my order and got the ingredients ready before the waiter even put it in the system. It's just what a customer wants.
Would be coming here again for sure.
The ambience is lovely as well. Seats are comfortable and it's a...
Read moreExcellent EXCELLENT pizza! I cannot stress more how good the pizza was! Ended up going here by accident as we couldn't get into Alley Catz (they don't take reservations..bleh), and boy it did not disappoint. I'm actually glad we didn't go to Alley Catz, because I would missed out on a gem!
The 48 hour dough pizza base was neither too light nor too heavy, something between a Napolitan and New York style pizza. There were a variety of toppings for every craving, and it was all cooled to perfection in a fire oven right next to our table.
Service was exceptional. Neither too intrusive nor too aloof..but attentive and very friendly.
I will definitely go here again and again and...
