Ristorante Del Posto — Restaurant in London

Just got in from dinner at Del Posto. We are all absolutely stuffed! The food and service was superb and faultless. We went here on recommendations from friends and soooo glad we did.

From the moment we arrived, Mario, Sam and the team were so welcoming and attentive with nothing too much trouble. The restaurant was full, yet the service and attention we had from Sam throughout the evening was beyond superb. His service without doubt is the best we have EVER experienced and I have had the good furtune to have dined at a number of restaurants in central London who pride their reputation on service, Sam beat this with ease. Knowledgeable on all the dishes offering recommendations he was superb with our kids (8, and 11) treating them as adults talking to them not at them. The kids are still raving about him now!!

Now the food...oh the food. Being from a Sicilian family (del posto are Sicilian owned) we were expecting “generous portions” and we were not left disappointed on that front. The arancini were perfect rivalling nonna’s so that’s the highest level of praise as any sicillian will know lol!

The fritto misto was stunning! Light crispy batter coating the freshest baby squid and other seafood delights!

Mains included fungi tortellini, mixed seafood platter, pizzazs and veal. Every single dish cooked to perfection.

Desserts again all superb but the chocolate soufflé (they advise you their is a 15 min wait as cooked from scratch) is truly amazing and easily worth the wait.

Another superb visit to the BEST Italian restaurant in South West London! We met friends for Sunday lunch to start our Christmas festivities.

As ever a warm welcome from Sam and the team. We had our usual table in the corner by the window with the super cosy banquet seating and cushions.

Sam brought out the colouring packs for the kids and ensured they were fully entertained before taking orders. This makes for a much more relaxed and easier menu selection and ordering 😊

The food is always if the highest standards and quality. We had a selection of food from Arrancini, fritto misto, pizza, grilled lamb chops, lamb shank, sea bass and pasta, all 5 ⭐️. The real hidden gem are the courgette fries, they really have to be tasted!

Even though we were stuffed by now we had just enough room for desserts of chocolate and orange panettone, selection of ice creams and melting chocolate soufflé.

Attention and service throughout the meal (3 hours) was outstanding from Sam and the team. The complementary brandy and armatetto after dinner was the icing on the cake and a perfect way to start our Christmas festivities.

I visited here on a Saturday evening for dinner with my husband and our dog. We sat outside due to our pooch (which was completely fine!) and the owner very kindly put on the heat lamps for us, so we were very comfortable.

The service was immaculate - all the staff are very friendly and kind, and we were all made to feel very welcome.

I ordered the Spaghetti Siciliana and my husband ordered something fantastic (whose name I've forgotten, sorry!) off the specials board. Our meals were absolutely delicious, and I finished my entire bowl, which is something I normally struggle to do. We then shared a fabulous tiramisu which was so airy and light.

I also ordered two fabulous Cosmopolitan cocktails, which were the best of their kind I've ever had. We were very grateful for the complimentary limencello at the end of our meal too - such a lovely gesture.
