Absolutely horrible customer service and food is always hit or miss. Today it was a miss. I have been ordering from Sakonis for years and will not be ordering from them again. Ever.
My first dish was ready and just sitting for 8minutes (timed) getting cold. So I asked the staff how long the other dishes are going to take, as two dishes will be warm, and one cold. The response i received was A) it has only been sitting there for 1min B) our chef only cooks one dish at a time. Both responses were mind blowing especially the last. Your chef only cooks one dish at a time? So what if there was a order for 10 dishes. Absolutely insane.
The so called 'Manager' - loves to tell the staff what to do, but never gets her hands dirty herself. I asked her how long the other dishes would take, she responded 2 more minutes. 5 minutes later, I asked her again. She said it is coming. Bare in my mind there was no eat in customers and probably 5 orders on screen for takeouts. Furthermore, she answered a call whilst we were in midst conversation. If you are the manager you should be setting a level that your staff can aspire to. This brings me to..
Hygiene - The manager finally started packing my food. She coughed on her hands, which I fully appreciate. Involuntary cough. But then to carry on packing my food as if we have never heard of the Coronavirus is absolutely disgraceful. She washed her hands after being told to do so (a big inconvience to her) and responded you seem miserable. Thanks for letting me know that, I would not be miserable if your service was excellent and your health and safety protocol was adhered too.
Its safe to say, nothing will never come from this complaint. However, just a reminder to the person reviewing this page: Sakonis is only a franchise because of loyal customers like myself and many others. Treat them with respect. There are many other places we can get the sames dishes from.
P.S. The Mogo was...
Read moreI visited here a couple of weeks ago and had the lunchtime buffet on a Tuesday where buffet is only £11.99. Great food and service. My favourites from the buffet were the bhel chat, chilli paneer, haka noodles and the shrikand. I particularly loved the fact that the food wasn’t overly spicy like a lot of the other vegetarian restaurants are in that area. One thing that made me uncomfortable was they automatically add £1 to your bill towards a charity then add the service charge on top of this extra £1. Firstly as a company you should make it very clear to your customers that you add additional £1 to the bill towards charity, you also need to make it clear to the customers what charity you are donating to. I was surprised when I saw the bill then the staff member said additional £1 is charged that goes to charity. We should firstly be asked if we would like to donate to charity and be told which charity the proceeds go to- not the company adds it automatically and only if the customer notices would you mention it. Some transparency needed here from the management and is the additional money being taken actually going...
Read moreHonestly a joke of an establishment - the Kingsbury branch has brought down the reputation of the Sakonis name.
Service is terrible here, whether you order in the restaurant or via Uber eats, they somehow manage to screw up the order and forget items. They can’t even comprehend basic orders and so the customer is continuously left out of pocket and it’s not as if it’s cheap with their paneer costing nearly £10! I once ordered two orders of paneer only to end up receiving one tiny box! What kind of a joke is this?
The woman manager (Prachi I believe) is abhorrently rude and makes it out as if the customer is wrong - NO WE ARE NOT WRONG, WE HAVE PAID FOR ITEMS AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED THEM. IT IS YOUR ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE THAT IS WRONG. I remember the days of the Edgware branch and NEVER did I have any issues there.
Avoid this place at all costs now, it’s not the Sakonis service and quality we fondly remember from...
