Trust me, this review is worth reading.
My flatmates and I decided to order from Wingmans - it’s January in London and it’s bloody cold - and we REALLY needed those wings. Unfortunately we go through UberEats to deliver.
This time, our order took longer than usual to arrive, and over an hour later when he did arrive, the driver mumbled something about having more orders and apologized for the delay. We had placed 3 orders of wings, dipping sauce, and two orders of fries but the bag only had two boxes. We called the driver who did not respond and then tried to contact UberEats for a refund (which really was unnecessarily difficult).
Then, we got a call from UberEats saying that Wingmans was trying to contact us because the driver had missed 4 items on our order. The manager of Wingmans then apologized to us for having to wait over an hour for food..and not receiving the complete order - he had explained that after the driver left the restaurant, they tried calling him and he did not answer. Then he tried calling UberEats customer service to ask them to send another driver to send us the remaining items of our order. UberEats refused. UberEats also refused to reimburse the restaurant for the rest of the order!
UberEats then told me to contact another department so that we could request refund for the items that were not delivered. Clearly hangry at this point, I was was annoyed that though my food did not arrive, and I was already on the phone with a customer service representative, I’d still have to go through another channel to receive a refund!
Then. The manager of Wingmans asked me for my number and home address so he could re-make my order fresh, and personally deliver it - which we happily accepted BEFORE UberEats hung up on us!
30 minutes later, the manager showed up at our door with all the items in our original order - with extra's- for free. And let me tell you - the food was good. The Bangqoc, BBQ, Oriental, and Buffalo Wing are to die for! Don’t worry - they’re also still crispy after delivery. And don’t forget to order the truffle fries and the sweet potato fries, they won’t disappoint.

Read moreMy visit to Wingman’s was an enjoyable one overall, but not without a few areas for improvement. The food was definitely the highlight, but the overall experience could have been elevated with a bit more attention to service and detail. It’s a fun, casual spot with potential—it just didn’t quite feel as polished as it could be.
We ordered a range of dishes to get a good feel for the menu: buffalo wings, hot honey chicken tenders, truffle and beef mac and cheese, peppa tots, and for dessert, the royal cookie crumble.
The buffalo wings were the standout—crispy, flavourful, and exactly what you want from a wing. The hot honey tenders were also tasty, with a nice balance of sweet and heat. The mac and cheese was rich and indulgent, though the beef topping was a bit too sweet, which threw the dish off slightly. As for the peppa tots, they weren’t really to my taste—the five-spice flavour was quite overpowering and didn’t blend as well as expected.
Dessert, on the other hand, ended things on a high note. The royal cookie crumble was warm, gooey, and satisfying—a real comfort food moment.
Service-wise, things were okay, but not particularly memorable. The initial greeting felt a little cold, though staff were polite throughout and did improve as the meal went on. It just lacked that extra bit of warmth or attentiveness that makes a dining experience feel special. Understandably, this isn’t a fine dining restaurant, but even in a casual setting, small touches can make a big difference.
One practical note: we noticed several other diners with gloves, which would’ve been very useful for the wings—they were quite messy. It would’ve been helpful to be offered them, especially as it seemed to be a common thing.
On a positive note, the drinks arrived promptly (within 5 minutes), and food came out around 20 minutes later, which was great and clearly indicated everything was made fresh to order.
Wingman’s has a lot going for it—solid food and a lively vibe—but a bit more consistency in service and attention to small details would really elevate...
Read moreI think this place is slightly overrated. I am a big chicken wing fan and regularly visit wingstop in London (American franchise). After reading the reviews, I had high expectations but was extremely disappointed after the visit. The young waitress we had was very good but the lady at the door welcoming customers wasn’t great at customer service. Firstly the wings we ordered were over fried and not that tasty if I’m honest. The flavours were a bit overpowering and there’s seemed to be a lot going on. Prices were a bit steep also as you can get more wings at wingstop for the same price. The chicken in the burgers we had was undercooked, pink and stringy. When I told the waitress at the door that the chicken was undercooked she told me that it was meant to be the muscle of the chicken and meant to be pink. She guaranteed that they were cooked really well. I repeatedly told her I wasn’t happy with it and that chicken should not be pink at all and she kept insisting that I was wrong and made me feel a bit silly. It might be the case that the chicken should be like that but she could have sensed my disappointment and offered to take it off the bill rather than arguing with me. This happened eventually after some disagreement. When we got the bill, they had put a 12.5% service charge on which I didn’t want to pay. She then proceeded to ask me why I didn’t want to as she had taken the burger off the bill. I tried to explain that as a customer I was unhappy with the way the complaint was handled as it should have just been taken off the bill with no questions asked especially as I had hardly eaten any of it. My husband had eaten most of his half not realising this and did not feel great when he got home. She disagreed again about the chicken again but took the balance of the payment without the service charge and walked off. More than the service I was disappointed with the quality of the food and the flavours. The mocktails and drinks however were really tasty. Sadly we won’t be...
