Mike's Fish and chips — Restaurant in Manchester

I cannot express how disgusted I am with this restaurant and especially the female who refused to give me her name when I called them about my order. If I could give one piece of advice to anyone it would be to not order from here. I placed my order and just after paying I saw plenty of reviews on just eat that stated parts of peoples order were missing. When the driver arrived , I asked him to wait so I could check my order and something was missing. I immediately called the chippy as the driver didn’t know what to do and I spoke to a young female who without even checking my order or my name knew what was missing and said that the scallops weren’t ready. I said why did you send the order if it wasn’t all there. I said I didn’t want the rest of the items because she was very rude and she said tough luck you will only get a refund for the scallop. I asked her why so many reviews said items were Missing and she laughed and then I asked her name and she cut me off. Really disgusted. The large chips portion...

If you enjoy food eventually and love a bit of suspense with your supper, this is the place for you. The local chip shop equivalent of a slow-burn thriller -you place your order, they ask you three times what you just said, then forget it anyway. Beautifully chaotic.

Every visit feels like an interactive mystery game: Will I get what I ordered? Did I even order that? Why have I been handed a battered sausage when I definitely said pie? Nobody knows - not even them.

But honestly, we keep coming back. It’s now part of the ritual. I tell my mates, “You haven’t lived until you’ve stood here for 25 minutes wondering if your chips are in a fryer or a parallel universe.”

Food? Eventually. Accuracy? Optional. Experience? Hilarious. 10/10...

Ordered fish (cod), chips and curry sauce via JustEat, was sent sausages, eggs, beans, hash brown and bread. Unable to eat pork for dietary reasons. Called takeaway, first woman put the phone down on me after I politely explained situation, I called back and after calmly explaining to the second woman that answered phone, said to cancel order (even though not possible as delivered!) To claim a refund from justeat then re-order, paying a second time which I politely declined. The staff were unbothered and quite rude, seemingly finding situation and religious dietary restrictions amusing! Other woman laughing...
