Made to feel unwelcome, understand that they don't allow dogs, but my partner was even told she couldn't stand on the pavement outside the place, waitress complained when I asked could they clear glasses from the table, started to be served by one woman, she quickly said she had a table issue, and went to deal with it, when she returned she didn't carry on serving me, just went about putting away some glasses, I told the manager this and he apologised, the guy on the bar with the tattoos looked after me though, he was ok. As my partner was banished, as a show of solidarity, myself and my kids took all our food and went and sat on the grass verge to eat, when we finished and were leaving, the manager came out and started shouting that we had littered by leaving our plates there, there was no litter, and any loose things like serviettes were held on the plates with cutlery so there was no litter blowing about, he said he had "bent over backwards" for us, he actually did nothing, and when I challenged him over the poor service, he informed me that I was "going on pubwatch, and I would be banned from all pubs in North Devon" I wouldn't go there again, very poorly run, and manager has a really rubbish attitude, and we paid over £60 for this! Only good thing was the guy with the tattoos, really friendly and apologetic for my being ignored by the other bar staff! 1/10 rating, and that's being generous!
