Initial impression well presented from outside,  warm welcome and friendly staff from the outset, starter - garlic bread with cheese (slightly on the oily side but still light and tasty, winter vegetable soup ( full of flavour, warming and tasty). Whilst waiting between starters and main, had the pleasure of watching the kitchen operate and WOW like a well-oiled machine again very professional and a joy to watch Main - fillet steak cooked to perfection, not very often you find somewhere that knows how to cook a steak, lasagna nice and tasty, well presented, garlic bread side was slightly oily but again no detriment on the meal at all The only downside during the meal was the spraying of tables directly, and not to cloth first Cleanliness was by far the best I've seen, toilets were to a very high standard and fitted with high-end fixtures and fittings. The staff were very polite and friendly, very courteous by far the best service I've ever received

Staff was so friendly & welcoming to start off with. Upon receiving the menus the gentleman recommended the sharing Sunday roast which is new to the menu, wow what a recommendation it was!! The presentation alone was 10/10 & then when I decided on where to start I realised the taste also matched the presentation 😍 But the game changer for me was the Yorkshire pudding with slow cooked sticky beef brisket inside, I’ve never had this before & it is definitely something I will be coming back for. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, I want to try something different from the menu when I return but I don’t know how I can get away from that roast dinner. Although it’s for 2 people I’m certain you could feed 3 with the amount you get. Service - 10/10 Presentation - 10/10 Taste - 10/10

Just had a bottomless brunch. Superb small plates and endless cocktails combined with a very friendly welcome and excellent service. Especially Pip and Jake, thankyou.

Upon arrival in to the dinner stone we weren’t greeted and had to go over to the bar area to make ourselves known. Shown to a table that was set out for 8 people for a booking for 6 people. Ordered a round of drinks and water to the table. One of the glasses had a crack through it, another had lip marks all over it and a full pint of beer unfortunately got dropped on to one of our guests by a member of staff. I felt the way this was handled was very poor. The staff member initially was shocked and didn’t really know how to handle the situation and this wasn’t really followed up satisfactory. The food I had ordered felt very average and mediocre not worth the £33.50 for a ribeye steak. It came with one mushroom, one tomato, some very dry chips and the peppercorn sauce could have been a little thicker in consistency. I’d say the value of my meal would range between £20-£25. The only savouring grace was the lemon cheesecake. Throughout the service several members of staff waited the table and repeatedly asking the same questions, felt chaotic. Also felt the noise was quite loud as the noise was travelling up from the bar area so it was difficult to hear or speak. The men’s toilet had one cubicle which was overflowing. Now I didn’t kick up a fuss at the time as this meal was arranged for one of our guests birthday so didn’t want to make it awkward but for the floor manager just to knock one drink off the bill is quite poor. There was no offer of getting the shirt/jeans dry cleaned. For the bill to come to £280 and have one drink knocked off isn’t great customer service and certainly wouldn’t invite you to come back. Left feeling extremely...

A big disappointment, the interior was amazing when we walked in and a great atmosphere. Food arrived and the first thing is the portion size, very small for the amount you pay. I had the duck pancake starter and in the small amount I was given there were 3 small bones. I of course mentioned it at the time to the waitress. Ill tell the chef was the reply. I hoped for a better main, Beef stroganoff I was asked if I wanted rice and chips I had both, a small amount of rice and about 5 homemade chips which were the best part. My Stroganoff was dark brown because essentially it was burnt before the sour cream was added This made it very bitter and unpleasant. I decided at this point after the poor response to the starter( and it was a relatives birthday with a large group) to eat it without any fuss. You will see I never normally leave such a long review but hopefully I've given constructive criticism to maybe look at portion size and don't send food out that...
