I visited Revolucion de Cuba in Reading several tims, and I must say, it's a great place to grab a drink and soak in the South-Central American vibe. The place has a vibrant and lively atmosphere that transports you straight to the heart of Cuba. I visited on a Friday when they had live music, and it was fantastic. The energy and vibe were infectious. However, when I visited on a busy Saturday, the place was packed, and it was difficult to find a table. I would suggest making reservations in advance to avoid the crowd. The cocktail selection at Revolucion de Cuba is impressive, and the bartenders really know their craft. I tried a few drinks, and they were all delicious and well-balanced. It's a great place to have a drink with friends and unwind after a long day. While the food is good, it's a bit of a mixed bag. Most of the dishes dishes are authentic and succulent(I liked burrito, burrito bowl, tacos, gambas, patatas bracas, halloumi, empanadas), while others are not that succulent(I didn’t enjoy pork belly skewers, calamari, beef ropa vieja). If you're looking for traditonal Central American cuisine, you may be sligthly disappointed. However, if you're open to trying new things, you'll enjoy the creative twists and flavors they offer. Overall, Revolucion de Cuba is a great place to go for a drink and vibe. It's not the most authentic Cuban restaurant out there, but it's a fun and lively spot to enjoy a good time with friends. I would highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

A group of us from work went to Revolución de Cuba to celebrate 2 birthdays we did the bottomless brunch. *We were a large party* They kept up well with the drinks and the orders of drinks. We received our welcome drinks at 16.05 when we arrived. No issues there but then the food came out and it was awful. It wasn't a meal if you order a classic burger and nothing like the pictures online show. Heavily disappointed when paying £30 plus then told we had to order chips separately they came out after some of us had eaten others did not because the bite of the burger wasn't great. Then we go to pay and they try charging £25pp for non alcoholic brunch and £35pp for the alcoholic one. Which was slightly more than we originally booked the table for. The online menu prices are wrong as they say £20pp and £32.50pp which I get isn't a lot more but the fact the food was inedible and unappealing you don't want to pay any more. I wouldn't go again, plus the atmosphere wasn't great it was only enjoyable because of the company we had around the table. *picture is of our sad burger who just needed friends that would eat it.* (Even kids burgers at mcdonalds get sauce and onions

The place sounds like a fun place to be but could use a lot more work to do that. Food was nice but small for the 3 for £15 Tapas deal. Drinks are overpriced especially for how watered down they taste. Nothing more but a mix of juices than a fun cocktail of spirits. Mixers costing up to £3.45?! This is insane! And the cheeky of it not to give you the whole can! Went on a Saturday night so there was a DJ. Started off well playing music with the theme of the bar but well into the night the music choice and selection was all over the place. From RnB to Punk Rock to Pop to Reggaeton, one after the other causing people to flux on and off the floor more quickly than usual. Customer service is good and kept up with the pace of a busy evening. Enough room for people who want to sit down for eating and drinking as well as people who want to get up and dance. It does not become a sweat box as the place is actually big compared to what you see from the front window. Would I return? Possibly. Would it be my first choice? Most defiantly not.

I went today. Google maps says they do not have takeout. I saw they were on Deliveroo available for click and collect, so I thought they did.

We asked when we arrived if they had take out and they said yes.

We asked for a Cuban sandwich. According to the menu the sandwich with fries (we verified by asking that the fries were included) cost 7 pounds each. This was 0.5 pounds more than on Deliveroo, but we didn't mind. I added a pound by asking for cheese in my fries. The total should have been 15 pounds but we were charged 20. The difference may seem small, but it was 33% more.

Looking at the prices, I think we were charged for two combos of sandwich, fries, and soda. Except we didn't get the soda. I could not check what we were actually charged for since we didn't get the receipt (we were not offered one either). This, in my opinion, is bad practice.

The food was ok. I think the mustard was a little bit overpowering, but it was tasty. I did not like the cheese on the chips. I would suggest getting plain chips or sweet potato fries more.

The fries were a little messy to eat, this was made worse by the fact that they did not add napkins to the bag. This is also I think, bad practice.

The food was ok, but the service and overcharge really spoiled it for me. I wanted to get more click and collect and try more things from the menu,. However, due to the poor service, and the fact that some items (like the churros) don't appear on Deliveroo, I don't think I will return. It may be a good experience to dine in, but with Covid, I think their non dine-in experience should be...

Dear Management, The situation is as follows, me and my partner come to your venue every Friday and Saturday and have done for over a year now we spend a lot of money at your premises and we are very compliant customers and bring no trouble to you with a socialist attitude. The complication here is for last few weeks we have been refused entry and the male door supervisor gives a rehursed reply every time saying " sorry the management won't allow folk like us in your premises for the run up to Christmas unless we have booked a table. Now just to inform to you that you have made us feel like objects of ridule. Now we should not have to feel like this. Now to resolve the issue can you practice better customer services pitches to your head doorman because to perfectly honest his rehursed reply saying to us management won't let folk like us in is a very disrespectful option to relay a message like this to contributing public like us who put money over the bar. I would welcome your feedback in the first instance. You as managing agents should see things are put rite. I now look forward to your reply. And by the way I have been a doorman at many night spots, and you will certainly learn something by this script of discourse I put to you. Your establishment have definitely handled us good paying customers in the wrong way. I believe you need to put things rite. We create revenue for you and this is how you treat us. I would not treat anybody like this. Remember the customer is always rite and behaviour...
