Food is good enough but I cannot recommend this place for large parties. Adversarial is the best way to describe the service we received when 9 of us were seated for my son's birthday.

Only the set menu was laid out for us. When we asked for the full menu, we were told that usually only the set menu is available for larger parties. With a couple of vegetarians in the party, and others who did not want 3 courses, we asked if some of us could order from the main menu.

We were told again that the set menu is usually for larger parties as it takes pressure off the chefs trying to have everything ready at the same time. We said that we didn't see this on the website and were advised we should have been told when we called to book, we weren't.

The waiter started asking who wouldn't be ordering off the set menu and what it was they wanted from the full menu, without being given the chance to look at it. We asked again for menus to look at. We were only given 2, I assume this was to stop more of us being tempted to stray from the basic set menu.

When the staff member came back to take our order, I and others in my party said we were not quite ready. We were ignored and the orders were taken anyway, without giving us a chance to decide.

The food I received was good, but it was not what I wanted to order. If we had been told of their policy, we would have went elsewhere. There was no apology offered, and the half-hearted attempts to accommodate us after their omission in the booking process made us feel like somewhat of an inconvenience.

It's hard to recommend a dining experience that leaves a bad taste...

Found this lovely wee gem. Thanks to Google I searched restaurants near me and this came up. Only negative issue with getting the evening menu on website. Ended up going as reviews good. So glad we did. Excellent food, staff great & venue nice. Will definitely go back. They have a great value lunch menu which you can see on the website. Hopefully they will of sorted out the evening menu for the website as we were close to not going as we couldnt get to see it. Phoned and asked if someone could email us a pdf. Pleasantly said they couldn't while open ( I could understand as when we got there they were busy). Definetly worth a visit. I'm not an italian fan as such but I have already planned my next visit and food plenty great choices and variety

Give it a go you will not be...

With a few simple touches..this restaurant could be "up there". Let me start with the negatives. Candles on tables would enhance the ambiance. The garlic bread was nice..not authentic ..but shop bought...sorry for an Italian this is soooo wrong!!! The shared starter came without small needed plates. The water arrived much later than asked for and then we had to wait for glasses. The medele of vegetables was bog standard ..cauliflower carrots peas and brocolie. However..on a high note..the quality of food was of a high standard..the steak and chicken was superb...and despite a few delays the staff was exceptionally polite. Especially tje manager. Yes...i would go back again. But with a few touches .could be an exceptional...
