The Wishing Well — Restaurant in Scotland

Went to the wishing well today for lunch and to be honest I was quite disappointed. The food was OK but very pricey. The 2 girls serving seemed nice enough but weren't very experienced and looked like they didn't want to be there. What really surprised me was the amount of people they turned away as they focused on delivery's instead. We were told there was a 30 minute wait for food but by the time we left 90 minutes later they'd stopped cooking for diners altogether for at least an hour. I really don't think that's good business at all. The last time I went to the wishing well the food was great, reasonably priced and customers were welcomed like friends. Its a shame...

Food excellent as usual, been coming here for years. Friendly staff. Well worth a visit. Change of owners, wasn't impressed, rather disorganised, back in 4 months later, had a chicken curry and chips, very bland with 4 tiny pieces of chicken, my wife asked for steak pie mash and veg, no mash no veg, only chips. Heard them tell other customers that didn't have what they wanted and couldn't make some items on the menu as the chef who would make them was off....

I’ve eaten in this wee gem of a place on many occasions. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or just a cuppa and cake it’s always been fresh and delicious!
