Ning's Thai Street Food — Restaurant in Sheffield

A few days ago I was in the city centre and finished my errands a bit later than expected so I decided to eat something before returning home. I didn't have Thai food for a while so I decided to go and try out Nings Thai.

They are perfectly located in the city centre, with public transportation right in front of their door.

I only ordered a Chicken Pad Thai as the portion was more than enough for me. The price was also average.

The food arrived so quick! The staff were incredibly friendly, I liked the way they greeted me in Thai when I arrived and when I was leaving the restaurant. This made my experience more authentic. The painting on the wall transports you to Thailand beaches and made me miss Thailand even more.

We stumbled across Ning's Thai Street Food as we were looking for somewhere to eat near the O2 Academy, as we were visiting the city for a gig. We'd passed another restaurant as it had a hygiene rating of 3 so were delighted to see that Ning's has a rating of 5.

The restaurant itself is unassuming in style, appropriate for street food. It's not big but was great for just two of us, and there were several other tables in use.

Service was very quick and the food was delicious. We ordered Chicken Satay to share and then I had Chicken Pad Thai and my husband had Belly Pork. We particularly enjoyed the depth of umami flavour in the Pad Thai and the fresh and zingy Belly Pork. It was really reasonably priced too.

I wish this place was round the corner from us at home (though it may be for the best that it's not) but I'll have to wait for our next trip to Sheffield to...

Fantastic fresh authentic Thai food to take our or eat in.

We chose a stir fry belly pork with red curry paste , vegetables and Thai basil with rice. It was very tasty and the fresh veg combined with rich pork was delicious. We also had a sweet soy flat noodle dish with prawns and veg. This was so tasty and I think it had stir fried egg in it too that had just mopped up alot of sauce and was so tasty.

Great event. I don't think I would have honestly walked into Nings had it not been for this event but the food was so lovley and fresh, menus easy to understand, and the fresh white interior was comfortable and clean. Top marks! We will definitely be back.
