It's a McDonald's so you'll have a pretty good idea of what to expect.
This one can be busy though so there can be a wait for your food. This is probably due to it being quite an old branch and the cooking / kitchen facilities are not really big enough to cope with demand as it's grown. The recent McD's revamp has helped a bit with less focus [and space taken] on the restaurant side.
The location is close to one of Greater Manchester's less salubrious areas of residence so some, but not all, of the patrons can be somewhat "uncouth" [for want of a better word]. However, from previous observation, the management seem to be on top of it so other than occasional late night foul language there are no security issues.
All the parking bays are now numbered so you can take advantage of the "click and collect" service on the app. One advantage of click and collect is that you can check your order for accuracy before you drive off, [general comment, not just applicable to this location] so you can query those missing dips, or, the cheese on the burger intended for the lactose intolerant person.
Anyway, it's a Macdonald's. Sometimes it gets busy, sometimes [as in occasionally, not always] they make a mistake. But you pretty much know what to expect - a paper bag with burgers in buns, skinny fries and a paper cup of post mix flavoured carbonated water.
Edit: Silly me! I forgot to mention the coffee. McCafe coffee is really good! I much prefer it to StellarPounds, Castor, Cafe Zero, or the other coffee house chains. And yet Micky D's do not really make much of their caffeinated offering, their advertising concentrating on the foodstuffs they purvey. Anyway, YMMV but I reckon the coffee is probably the best thing...
Read moreAbsolute horrendous experience here last night. Firstly left waiting at the drive through order point for ages while the other side were flowing through taking orders, it was until another driver pointed out to the server that we had been waiting on our side that our order was taken. Once we finally got to the pay point our order was messed up, no amount of explaining to alter the order to ours would work, after the fourth time of trying to sort it out I had to tell them to forget it and drive off as by this point I was about to explode. We then parked up and went inside to do the order. Having done so we now knew why the service was so bad as there was around six workers more interested in standing around gossiping than serving. We checked our order at the counter because of what had happened earlier and the response from the woman behind the counter was nothing less than discusting. The whole experience from arriving to leaving a drive through at 10pm took nearly 40mins. So angry I had...
Read moreAbsolutely unacceptable experience with McDonald's today. I placed an order through Just Eat with a pickup time of 12:08 AM, and over an hour later, I still had no food. I called the delivery driver, who told me he had been trying to get help from the staff. According to him, there was a lady in a white shirt who rudely told him she was the only one there and that he just needed to wait—no apology, no explanation.
The driver kept trying to get answers, even asking another staff member, but all he got were excuses and lies. After 45 minutes, he was told the food still wasn’t ready! I know McDonald’s food is usually prepared fast and just needs packing, so what exactly were they doing all this time?
The lack of professionalism, the complete disregard for the customer, and the way they treated the delivery driver is beyond disappointing. This is not the service anyone should expect from a global brand like McDonald’s. Sort it out—this...
