Escape Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Worthing

UPDATE - Sadly Escape closed in February 2025, but has finally reopened (JUly 2025) under new management - I will get in to update as soon as possible. OLD REVIEW AS FOLLOWS: Monday night meals are now solved. While lots of other restaurants are closed, you can get some of the best Turkish food in Worthing, either in the bar, or if the weather is good out on the terrace looking out at the sea. You may know Escape as the late night bar - it’s open later than anywhere else in town every day, but their secret is the excellent, super-fresh, really high quality food. We had friendly and helpful guidance through the menu. The steaks and lamb come on sizzling hot rocks that allow you to continue to cut and cook your food for quite a while so you can have your steak exactly as you like it. Don’t touch the rock! Deserts are good too, but you probably will need to take food home with you- particularly if you also have one of the great range of starters. My advice: share a starter. Alternatively, a shared mixed starter makes a pretty good small plate meal in itself. But then you miss out on the very good mains. It’s open all week, so you can work your way around the menu over time. Also: check out the cocktails- sometimes there’s a deal so it’s worth getting two. I hired Escapes back area for mine and my twin brothers 21st Birthday party, and we were very impressed. The communication was excellent from the staff, and the staff on the night were on it! The space was large enough for all of our guests (Roughly 60!). We had spoken about 2 specialty cocktails for our night, and they did not disappoint, they specially crafted to drinks , perfect for me and my brother, and they were delicious! All of our guests complimented us on the drinks, the service, and the space itself! They allowed us to store our 2 cakes and cater for ourselves as well.

The only thing I would say, is the Space got rather hot, due to there not being much ventilation (it was the middle of August after all, and there was air con, and they did bring in fans for us) and our guests all dancing and enjoying themselves, but we were aloud to pop into the main bar or outside to chill out if needed, despite the wet weather that evening!

We were warmly welcomed by Eamonn the Superviser at Bar and Grill in Worthing. A beautiful trendy place with 2 giant causy bubbles at the entrance and a romantic bench on a swing. Eamonn was so kind, helping me out with my mobility being my "loo guide" holding my arm gently, warming the bubble up, telling my husband were the nearest disable parking bay was. Once inside causy the bubble, we had lovely drinks and a pleasant meal. We ask for some salsa sauce to add on and Eamonn cells back with salsa and sweet chilli sauce.
