I wish I could say something more positive about my experience today. But sad to say, not as good as it use to be before Covid times. Maybe they’re new owners? For dine in: You order and pay at cashier first, then you seat yourselves. It took a little long for food to be done, and she brings it to you wrapped up in a bag in a to go container. They don’t offer a cup of water, you have to buy a 16 oz. bottles water for $1, and a soda in a to go cup for $2.99 I ordered Popcorn Chicken with rice, the sides come with corn and cucumbers… very little of the sides too, I mean like it was for a baby dish. $10.99 My husband ordered Spicy Shrimp Chowmein a fair portion for the price $12.99 A mini shaved ice with 2 toppings for $8.99 When we received the food, my husband was laughing at the mini kid size portion of the cut corn, it was like 1 spoonful (shockingly funny) My order was wrong, instead of rice I received noodle soup with popcorn chicken, so I politely told the lady, and I noticed my receipt showed as noodle and not rice, it was a dollar difference of up charge, she took my food back, and when I received the correct order, I was asking if I could have a little more corn, she had a blank look and kinda 😠 and said that it would cost .50 cents more, and I kindly told her that there was already a dollar upcharge, and she sighed and walked away telling the cook (I’m guessing) then she tried to tell me that in the beginning of our order she repeated my order upon paying so she tried to basically tell me that I agreed I wanted noodle popcorn, when my husband heard me saying rice popcorn. Oh well, sorry for the long written review, but I felt the need to give consumer awareness. We will NOT be returning there again

I cant believe a Guppy Tea House still exists :') This Guppys doesn't look like the old locations where it was full of plants and had a chill atmosphere. It had more of a homey vibe. I think this location is a mom and pop small business where the mom was taking orders and the pop was cooking in the back. They serve everything in takeout boxes due to lack of staff. The food was still delicious though! I got the popcorn chicken medium and I loved how seasoned it was. Each bite was crispy and packed with flavor. The red milk tea I knew and loved doesnt taste the same as before but I still enjoyed it. I also tried the butter and coconut brick toast and it was my favorite part of the meal! The worker was even nice enough to give me a free scope of ice cream which really elevated the flavors!

TL;DR: if you have a 99 Ranch near you, you can get the same food out of their frozen section and spend about 70% less money on your meal. šŸ‘ - the pot stickers were okay šŸ‘Ž - all of the food I ordered (pot stickers, spring rolls, fried chopped chicken) tasted like it came out of the frozen food aisle. Why bother cooking food if it tastes microwaved? The sweet and sour sauce tasted like the most watered down sauce I've ever had in my life (seriously, I'm not exaggerating). We, 2 different ordering parties, ordered our food for dine-in but the cashier brought us all our food in to-go containers and bags like they didn't want us there. Cashier said they didn't have soda water, but I checked on their soda fountain and they have it 🤨

We have been going to guppy’s for about 9 years now first to the one in Irvine and when that one closed we started coming to this one. We have been here so many times however the last three times that we have been here the older lady at front has been very rude but today’s visit was the breaking point for me. We walked in my husband myself my 4 kids and my son’s friend. So a party of 7. We walk in and from the moment we went inside the lady was being rude first she didn’t want my kids seeing the fish she walked over and said you don’t touch. My son said no we are just seeing the fish. Then we went to go sit down she said we couldn’t sit there that other people were going to sit there the so we got up not an issue then we sat down on the other side where there’s big a big table that can sit us all down she said we needed to get up we couldn’t sit there. Then I told her can we put the tables together then so we can sit she rolled her eyes. So I told my husband I guess she said yeah so we put them together and again she made us get up. Then we got another table and she just kept saying things under her breath and just being awful and rude. So at that point the kids started to feel bad and they even felt we weren’t wanted in there. So I told them do you guys want to leave which they said yes please. The last times I have been there she has been very rude towards us and other people that are Hispanic. People of other race she always makes it appoint to treat them differently. I didn’t want to think this was a race thing but today really confirmed it for me. It sucks because we actually love their popcorn chicken and shaved ice but we will never step foot there. There a lot more that happen but I don’t have the space for to...

It's has been years since we've came to Guppy's house. As a yoing buck, It was a place to get late night eats, boba drinks and place of casual gathering. Honestly, it looks a little off when I arrived this time. Although the place looks remodeled but it lacks the same vibe it once had. There were plexiglass all up in your face where you can order food. Tons of printed 8.5x11 notices of lack of staffing plastered everywhere. Church music/podcast playing in the background. There was a nice seating area, but had an obnoxious sign that said no eating allowed. Lol to be honest, feels like I am intruding someone's aunties house. Upon ordering food for dined-in, there were no water served since they sell bottles of water & they give you foam cups, as well all the food they served. To my understanding, this place is still practicing pandemic style service like they do in a lot of the Bay Area restaurants. 🫠 food wise, this places quality has declined, and I can taste the frozen ingredients. Service was little to non-existent, the lady who was running the place didn't seem too friendly. To sum this up, I was greatly disappointed and will likely not return for those...
