So I left a review on Yelp (copied and pasted below) and I received the following responses from the server, Kevin N,, and his wife, Tiffani:

Kevin N. Wrote: "get a life loser! If you want the lunch for free just go ahead and ask the cashier. Don't try to bullshit the place and say the lunch should be free."

Wife, Tiffani, wrote: "you are suck a loser for real lmao." I am not even sure what it means, but ok...lol

What kind of business would argue with their customer let alone call their customer a loser? Such a horrible business practice.

Short version: Unprofessional staff and horrible service. I had to cancel my order as I waited over 40mins but my order wasn't ready. No apology from the server.

Long version: I came here for lunch (1st time) with two co-workers. I ordered stir-fried noodle with seafood; co-workers ordered pho. We also ordered some rolls to share. Pho came out within less than 5mins. I waited patiently for my stir-fried noodles. About 20 mins later, I gently reminded the server regarding the missing appetizer and the stir-fried noodle. Server said "I'll check" No apology from the server. I waited for another 15-20mins, still no appetizer & no stir-fried noodle. My colleagues were just finishing up their pho. I called the server over to cancel the order. He said, "they are making it." No apology, again. I said, "I don't have much time left as I am on my lunch break." So, we finished and went up to the cashier's to pay. We told her about not receiving our order. She apologized. Colleagues paid for their meals and I left with an empty stomach.

My colleagues' lunch should've been comped if these people actually know how to run a business. If the server even had a sense of what customer service means, he would have said something along the line "I'm sorry that your food is taking so long to prepare. We just opened up the kitchen is trying their best to perfect your meal." Anything long those statements then it would have been acceptable. But, no, he didn't say anything along that line and called me a "loser" on Yelp. Super shocking but funny. I have never had such experience.

I will not return and hope they will improve management skills.

Responding to owner's comment: The one star isn't about me not getting food. It is about how you guys handled the issue. I wish I could give you guys a negative five stars for Kevin's unprofessional comment. If you want to earn my business again, you're going to have to fire that Kevin N. guy. He's going to ruin your business, unless Kevin is the owner. In that case, I would recommend the owner taking some management classes with the emphasis on...

Haven't had many places that were deserving of a low score for me, but the place started rough and kept going down here from there. The menu had some grammatical errors which was funny at first but when ordering the waitress kept asking "which one" when the menu clearly stated multiple meats in the order. The symbol "&" is on the menu. No confusion should be had. After the order was placed we were never brought utensils and there were no sauces at our table as well. We had to grab them from another table ourselves. Still we needed to ask for plates after the appetizers were brought since they were for the table. After most of our plates were brought, my mother waited 30 minutes for a plate of rice and shrimp. I assume they forgot to put the order in and we told the waitress to check on our order and yet nothing. We had to ask who I'm guessing is one of the owners about our order and they started yelling at the waitress. Another individual brought over the menu so we can show them what we ordered. Our order was finally brought 5 minutes later with the excuse that there was a problem with making the rice. This place made me mad and that is hard to do with me. I am sorry to the owners but things need to be addressed and change...

This place used to be bomb... now their broth and service is completely lacking. Their broth was almost clear and lacked a lot flavor, they used to be super flavorful a few years ago but now, you can tell, they don't care anymore. I walked in and was greeted by a guy who threw his chopsticks down and sighed deeply, shaking his head, that someone walked in. I asked if we should leave since he looked SUPER annoyed that we were there. He sat us and then when we ordered our food, he kept shaking his head the whole time. I had ordered two p-10s and a jackfruit smoothie. Annoyance written all over his face he huffed away. We got our food, it was so bland that we added soy sauce to the broth. We ate our food and asked for the check. Waited five minutes, never got it, so we walked up to the counter. We never did get that smoothie but they tried to charge us for it. This place sucks now, service is whack. I'm never coming back....

Pho Place is THE PHO PLACE! Authentic dishes with some upgraded dishes like BO LUC LAC (shaken beef) with macaroni Excellent flavor profiles from the beef and chicken pho to the shrimp cakes and even the fish sauce is on point. When the fish sauce is on point you know the restaurant is on point. Prices are excellent. We paid about $50 for 4 people with 5 dishes. Great bang for the buck her. Service is fast as usual with pho places, but unusual with pleasant service. If you've been to Old school pho places and Vietnamese restaurants, then we understand each other. DOWNSIDE: floors were very slippery while I walked and even while standing. I assumed it had to do with me new shoes, but I confirmed with my brother and sister in law who thought the same. Don't let the floors prevent you from checking this place out though. The food is awesome and the service is fast. Grub on!

Our new favorite spot for a quick fix, pho stop! The establishment is right off Brookhurst, nestled right in a strip mall with plenty of parking access. Both roomy and clean, the servers were prompt to greet us with water and a menu in hand. Food was quick to come out, with the bean sprouts and herbs looking fresh! Both the hubz and I always order the Pho Dac Biet, the small running for $8.00, and the large going for $11.00. Broth was right on the nose and had a good amount of flavor, just slightly bland for what we would have wanted. The noodle to accompaniment ratio was great, and the sizes of the bowls were a good value. We did see a couple of the other tables order fried spring rolls as well, which we’ll be totally coming back for! I will definitely be back and would recommend it!
