The concept of this place is fantastic but we didn’t really care for the execution. The staff was perfectly nice but the line was very slow and finding a table was stressful since it was busy. It was also raining the day we visited and we wanted to sit on the upstairs patio but there was no cover (or maybe a not so great cover) over the stairs so you risk your food getting soaked. We had to sit at a table next to the drink station which was unpleasant that it was right in the middle of the restaurant. The food came out pretty quickly and it was okay, not amazing, both my biscuit and my husbands needed more sauce. We also ordered mimosas and it tasted like a 50/50 ratio of orange juice to champagne, which is not my favorite- we would have preferred they pour the champagne and bring you a small carafe of orange juice so you can make your own ratio. Also I had gotten one Oj mimosa and one pineapple but was delivered two Ojs and didn’t want to say anything but my husband went to ask for the pineapple one instead for me and they made it only halfway filled up (that’s what the picture is) so it makes it seem pretty overpriced. Overall we probably won’t go back just because the place is not big enough for the amount of customers, the layout of the restaurant, and the other mentioned items. Not trying to be rude, just...
Read moreI have had this place bookmarked as a result of a friend’s recommendation. Today was the perfect day for a visit here!
I will start off with our biscuit! It was actually all it’s cracked up to be. Ours was the Pumpkin Pie French Toast biscuit for $7. I shared it with my kiddo but I really should have gotten us each our own, it was scrumptious! The sodas on tap were old fashion flavors, we picked two flavors that sounded the best and tasted! We loved them!
My experience was that the lady working the counter tonight was not helpful in telling us about the burger biscuit. I had to step out of line and look it up for myself. I really wanted something more than just sweet, but didn’t know what to try. So I ended up ordering what I saw was being advertised. It was 7pm, an hour til closing, but I still don’t think that’s a good excuse for not helping a customer learn more about the menu. She didn’t want to do “unnecessary” work, which seems to be the case a lot of places now. Customer service gets pushed to the wayside.
Summary: yes, just go get a biscuit. But look up the menu first to get a feel for what they have. I, personally, didn’t have time to gander the menu, so that’s on me. However, I still enjoyed the...
Read moreWent at 6P yesterday (they don’t close until 10P). My husband asked for sweet tea; the girl taking our order said there wasn’t any made but she would be glad to make some for him. When she went to make some, the Manager told her, “No. it’s too late to make a new batch of tea!” Mind you, it’s 4 hours before closing time.
There were 10 of us - 7/10 orders were incorrect and the 3 that were technically correct - the chicken was burned. When we asked that it be replaced, the waitress came out and said, “This is the way it’s always done. If we make more, it will be the same. You can have something different or a refund.”
This was the 1st - and last - experience for 2 of our party. We were so disappointed because we had told them what a neat, wonderful place it was.
If this is what they serve and how they do business - they won’t have to worry about staying in business. If the team members / Manager had worked for our daughter’s restaurant, they would have been immediately dismissed. And yes, our restaurant-owner daughter and her family were part of our party,
Ridiculously overpriced. Inedible food. Next time our family of 10 eats out, you can bet our $250 will be...
