This was an amazing family restaurant where you can sit and enjoy a delicious burger... until it was not. I have been dining at Farm Burger for about 8+ years but recently I had to find a new place to enjoy a delicious grass-fed burger. If you want a burger with a side of attitude, then this is your place! On one lovely afternoon, my mother decided to come get her usual. She proceeded to go up to the counter and order. When she got up to the counter, she was rudely greeted by Kris (the manager)! She ordered and asked if she can substitute soup instead of a salad as her side (a simple question, right?). Kris ( do not forget, she is the manager) proceeded to say "You are always wanting free stuff. YOU ARE NOT GETTING THIS FREE" (with the same nasty attitude). Let me give you a small back story. We have been going there for years and built relationships with the staff. My mother did not have any intention of getting anything free. Everyone knows that nothing in this world is free, even if you want it to be. Also, she is probably referring to the previous incident (once again, with lovely Kris) where she did not want to give a refund for a completely wrong order even when she was instructed to. Going back to the free food statement, my mother was appalled. From there, my mother had to give her the same energy Kris was giving her! As a manager, I didn't know they were trained to not speak to anyone that walks into the establishment without respect. It resulted in my mother calling her a name, which was not the right thing to do, but when you're treated like filth you just might do it. It gets better tho! My mother went to Kris' manager and he proceeded to say there was nothing he could do because my mother called her a name, but the name calling was done at the end of the interaction. You lost a long term relationship and customer because still to this day Kris has the same nasty attitude! If you want to be treated like you're on an episode of Bad Girls Club,...
Read moreThe service was fine, but the food was mediocre. In terms of cleanliness, it felt grimy. A family came in and asked for the table to be cleaned. The worker grabbed a towel from a bucket of water that was sitting on the counter by the drinks and proceeded to wipe a portion of the table, then put the towel in the same bucket of liquid. When asked to wash the rest of the table, she still proceeded to wash only a portion of the table with the same towel/liquid. Definitely not sanitary. Our tables were clean, though...or it seemed.
We ordered almost $100 worth of food for a fam of 5 (4 Build Your Own burgers, Nashville Hot Chicken, Lil Cheeseburger, 3 large orders of fries, 1 order of sweet potato fries, and 5 drinks).
The burgers were okay. The Nashville Hot Chicken was not good at all. The fries were interesting...like little fry bits, not one fry was full length. They tasted old, refried, and oily. The sweet potato fries were dry and tasted old or overcooked. The Lil' Burger was not worth the time spent making it, nor the $6.99 we paid for it. The best item was the drinks...two different juices. I think they were orange/cardamom/turmeric and dragon fruit/strawberry.
Overall experience was disappointing given we had just gotten take out about two weeks ago ($50 spent) and the food was...
Read moreFull disclosure: I am native to a part of the country where vegan food extends beyond the hyper-processed lab meat and cheeses and the tins of hydrated and unidentifiable food fed to astronauts. I read the reviews raving about the vegan burger and lauding that it was prepared in house— which for the aforementioned reasons, it grabbed my attention. Every palate is different, without question, BUT come on let’s be honest, shall we? The bland mush of a vegan burger with the odd tomato salsa and smothered in mayonnaise that I tasted at Farm Burger left me wanting to toss it and take the $16-17 loss on the chin. When will we get honest about the plant based food offerings here in the ATL? To have Bay Area prices (as Atlanta gets a head start on the arrival of a Paul Revere-esque proclamation of “Tech is coming! Tech is coming!), please do better with creating flavorful plant-based offerings that are not loaded with saturated fats, high sodium or tablespoons of sugar. There are so many countries who prepare plant based food with less/minimal ingredients that awaken your taste buds. The...
