I was so elated to finally try Sidequest! I had seen so many of their launches on IG and had to check it out. Though it took me a bit to find, when I got upstairs, I was swiftly greeted and sat. I think it's really neat to have a large table serve as both communal and large party seating! It was a full house with everyone filling the booths. I ordered banh khot and crab and prawn toast. The banh khot took me back to breakfast outside of my grandmothers, and the crab toast made me thirst for a beverage! Both were so well crafted, many applause to the chefs. I am excited to see what they rotate in and out of their menu. I also ordered a Thai tea and the life in 4K. Any respectable Asian establishment cannot mess up Thai tea, so naturally this one tasted fine. The Life in 4K cocktail was divine! I've never had a drink so complex--it had warmth, various sweetness, and sour. I would've ordered 10 more had I not had to drive home! I cannot wait to see what they cook up. I highly recommend Sidequest for friends and family, for tapas or a homey meal.

From the minds of an incredibly versatile chef/branding genius and a drink aficionado behind several of Atlanta's best bar programs (Stereo, Lucky Star), the dynamic duo that is Side Quest is bringing the best of Vietnamese & Lao food to Atlanta -- two cultures that are severely underrepresented in the city's perimeter. On our first visit, we tried the pho-spiced bone marrow, banh pate so, fish sauce wings, & khao poon as well as the moon theory cocktail and passion fruit limeade. It was all so good, and the generous portions made you feel like you were at your favorite auntie's table. While the vibes they've curated draw you in, the care & thought behind every drink/dish will make you think twice about leaving before trying the whole menu. We will definitely be back!

The most exciting and creative pop-up dinner in Atlanta in recent memory. Felt like a speakeasy with the barely marked door and hidden upstairs space. Phenomenal Vietnamese-Laotian food, especially fried quail with five spice sauce, grilled conch in shell with butter, scallion oil, peanuts. Life in 4kay cocktail was refreshing and beautifully presented. Can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu!
