UPDATE: The owner's reply does NOT address the fact that the meal which was removed from the bill, was then added back on hoping we would not notice. The owner does NOT offer an apology for the poor service we experienced nor the lack of attentiveness the server paid to our table/bill. Instead, the owner deflects and focuses on the cost of groceries and food rather than our full restaurant experience, which speaks to the unprofessional manner in which an employee was allowed to confront us about "wasted food." No one is concerned about price point when they are treated well and receive great service. I was a return customer up until this experience and I hope improvements are made to prevent this in the future.

ORIGINAL REVIEW I've frequented Wingcraft for many years prior to covid and decided to bring my family earlier this month on April 4th around 4pm. For the kids, we ordered mac n cheese and chips and were brought out actual potato chips rather than french fries, which was confusing considering they also have a fish n chips on the same menu where chips actually means fries. The mac n cheese was also not your traditional mac n cheese pasta for kids. It wasn't what we expected so we asked to send it back. A man (whom I believe was the cook and/or the manager comes to our table from the back to challenge our decision and asks us "to keep the mac n cheese (and pay for it) so that it doesn't go to waste," but again we declined. Though we did not feel comfortable with this exchange, we remained polite as we'd just ordered so much food that we were still waiting to come out. Needless to say, the bill comes and the mac n cheese was removed from the bill at the top but was placed back on towards the bottom. And when we brought it to the waitresses attention, she pretended it was done by mistake and adjusted. But at this point, we'd already seen that same man at the checkout desk doing something right before she (our waitress) printed it. The restaurant was not crowded at all and business seemed slow. There was absolutely no reason for this oversight. Nor was it professional for the cook/manager to address us about food being wasted. If anything, it was empty enough in there that you could have told us to keep kids meal on the house if it was that serious. But to try to sneakily get us to pay for something we didn't keep nor eat was NOT good for business. The waitress was also not very attentive or courteous, keeping in mind the place was pretty empty). On a positive note, we enjoyed the specialty drinks and was happy to visit a place we've once frequented. However, the food was not the best, the portions were very small, and the bill ran 200+ for a party of 2 adults and 2 toddlers. Not a good experience and will try new places in the area.
