Excellent seasonal beer selection. Their brick-oven fired pizza selection is exceptional and the waitstaff/bartenders are very friendly. The improvements that have been made to this place are exceptional so far and I’m looking forward to what the future has to bring. I’m glad they chose this location for the third brewery. I’m just glad the Hoffman’s haven’t ruined this business too.

Really enjoy going to Good News. Decent sized menu. Good spot to stop and watch the Katy Trail from the patio. Good beer selection. Wide variety of beer. The pizza is very good. I wouldn't recommend this as a place to stop for a full meal per se, as the portions are a little small, but my husband and I love stopping here while walking or cycling on the Katy.

Hey owners! It’s not just about the beer. You screwed up the landscaping from the backyard flavor of Augusta brewing. Here today all washed out weeds everywhere get with it and make this a worthwhile venue. There’s plenty of people that would like to come out here if you have an attractive landscaped area. Not just the concrete jungle.

Katy Trail Riders should avoid this place. It’s not for you.

It’s a brewery/wedding venue and they don’t even have a soda fountain there. You can’t get a Coke or a diet soda there. Just beer and brewery offerings.

My guess is they are trying to discourage the KT riders by deliberately not having any soft drinks or food that riders and their families might like.

The food is not very good, and like so many other “venues” it’s overpriced for what you get. Example: The nachos were just store bought nachos from a bag with salsa and cheese in a condiment cup. Wood fired pizza was okay but not great, and expensive.

The service is equally poor. Again, I think, a function of being a venue and not really caring about those that walk up from the trail. You’ll walk around looking for a while before you find someone to take your order, and when you do they’ll treat you like you’re bothering them.

I get that they’re a brewery/wedding venue first, but sitting right on the KT trail you’d think they’d want that...

Stopped here for lunch during our final day on the Katy Trail. Menu only had a fruit platter and a meat platter for appetizers and pizza. Pizza was a common meal along the trail and after 4 meals, that wasn't appealing. After ordering the fruit and meat platter, we were met with 5 pieces of sliced salami and pepperoni and cheese for 11 dollars. The drinks are normal for a brewery but the food is seriously lacking. The fruit and veggies box only had grapes, apples, celery and carrots and the meat box was the same thing. The true gem of this area is the small red caboose 12 miles down the trail. We were extremely excited to eat here, drink here and enjoy the atmosphere but were instead met with disappointment. No wonder this place is struggling. 1 star for atmosphere, 1 star for the beer and no stars for food, but we didn't...

We loved Augusta brewery. We were so excited for a new brewery to take its place. After a couple of trips to Good News I am disappointed with the replacement. We have been here Friday and Saturday nights and there is no ambiance or even the hint of fun. Tables and patio were covered in dirt. I know that it is outside and don’t expect things to be white glove clean, but there was clearly no effort to wipe off bugs and dirt from the table. No music. Limited beers. Poor service with the bartender hiding inside. I sincerely hope they can turn...
