We stopped in for dinner on 4-26-25 after a long day full of meeting professional wrestlers, being on our feet and lots of stresses hitting us during the days activities. We had never been to a Smokey Bones anywhere before but had heard it was really good food so, after leaving the 1st restaurant we went to after just being served our drinks, we decided to stop in and try it out. We were not disappointed one bit. We were sat almost instantly upon entering, we were recommended an appetizer and an entree for our table of 3 and we ordered our drinks. They brought our daughters order out first, as we requested, she LOVED their fries! The wait for what we ordered (picture provided) wasn't that bad..especially after being served our cornbread app. Their cornbread is DELICIOUS, as is the honey pecan butter it came with. So good! When our entree came...WOW! We were shocked and excited! SOOO much meat on one grill grate we didn't know where to start. All cooked to perfection. The sauces were killer too, including the 4 we had asked to try on the side. Our sweet teas were hitting perfectly and were constantly kept on refill. I say all this while saving the absolute best part for last. Our waitress Amy. She is the best waitress we've had in recent memory, and we tend to dine out frequently. She was so cheerful, smiley, attentive, easy to strike up a conversation with. Simply, THEE BEST! We shared some banter and it felt like we had been best friends for years. She made everything so easy. A breath of fresh air. She deserves everything good thing that comes her way. Was sad to hear that she had accepted a position at another place which means we wouldn't have the pleasure of having her whenever we would happen to make it back to Avon, IN again to eat there. However, she deserves to be honored. Literally the perfect waitress. We wish every waiter & waitress was a carbon copy of her. Thank you, Amy. You're absolutely phenomenal and worthy of all the blessings that He bestows upon you and your little family. God...
Read moreHusband, kiddo, and I decided to try here tonight we went in and there was maybe 4 tables in the whole restaurant. It was not busy by any means. I checked the time from when we sat down we waited 15 minutes and noone ever greeted us, so I went up to the host stand to complain. It was another 5 minutes after complaining before anyone ever came and got our drink order. When I complained another table was sat and they got served before us and got their food way before we did. Server came and he got our drink order and then left us alone for another 10 minutes before coming to take our food order. It was then another 30 to 40 minutes before we got our food. We spent damn near two hours at this location and our server only had one other table that I saw him at. I would understand if it was a busy saturday night and had a wait, but it was dead and everyone besides us and the other table either already had their food or were finished eating. We watched all the servers in the back drinking their drinks and playing around not doing their jobs. Then the bill came and I about had a heart attack it was not discounted at all for the wait and horrible service and it was a $60 dollar bill. When I then looked over to make sure it wad correct I realized I got charged $1 for a kids drink, and a whooping $10 for two dr. Peppers that were basically the same size as the kids drink. That is $5 a soda then I go look online to see if soda is really that expensive there and it is $2 or $3 dollars on the online menu price. Which is insane its even that much when you know it probably only costs the restaurant 15 cents a soda. Do not eat at this location if you wanna eat here go to the one...
Read moreJust ordinary. Hostess was on auto pilot, asked if we had 2, I said yes we had a reservation for (time), she said, 'so 2?', totally ignored the reservation so I had 3 text messages about not showing up. Server never introduced herself or greeted us, started with 'unfortunately the only drinks we have are coke, diet coke sprite and bottled water' Failed to say 'soft' drinks, apparently alcohol was available, but the way she said it indicated it wasn't. And I don't think 'unfortunately' should be the first thing said to a customer. After she brought our food she never showed up again until my husband had finished his meal, I was only half done but she just walked up and said 'are you ready for the bill' umm, I was thinking about dessert and his glass is empty so maybe let me finish and bring him more to drink, but nope. The whole thing was just bizarre, and she only had one other table, so it's not like she was swamped. There were other servers with more/larger tables that were much more attentive to their customers. In fact, the server from the table next to us stopped by and made a little small talk. Food was ok but somewhat bland, pulled pork was good, but no smoky flavor. My sauce was runny, no thickness to it at all. . The potato wedges were good, large slices and portion. My husband got the burger, he wanted brisket until he saw the price and changed his mind, can get a filet at Longhorn for the same price. Overall....too much competition for this to become a regular option for us. Too bad, we loved it the first time it was in Avon and were really hoping it would become a...
