This is a phenomenally good vegan restaurant. Somewhere I saw it was listed as in the "Top 10 Vegetarian Restaurants in Wisconsin", but if this is only top ten (and not in fact number 1) there must be some incredible places I have never been. You can tell the quality of the restaurant from the attention to detail that they have: their kitchen is new, modern, and meticulously clean; the restaurant is well decorated; and the servers are cleanly dressed and astoundingly polite. The food is not only tasty (so so tasty), but is also well presented. The care with which the food is sourced, prepared, and served gives the patron a sense of having stumbled into a high-end French restaurant: a very welcome surprise for anyone visiting Baraboo. This restaurant is a gem and certainly one not to miss if you are in the area and looking for tasty, reasonably priced vegan fare. A++

Drive, Run, Walk, Fly - do whatever you have to do to get out of the Dells and into Baraboo to eat at this restaurant. Two of us are vegan, one is a vegetarian, so we were duty bound to try as many things on the menu as possible. It Was All Great. Not a subpar item in the bunch. We had an appetizer, entrees, drinks, and dessert. Hearty portions, flavorful, lip-smacking goodness, friendly service, and mid-range prices that make this well worth visiting again and again. It's places like these that make me understand that restaurants CAN go vegan and not give up anything at all. I've read the other reviews listed here and they are correct. If you're not vegan or vegetarian, you will still love the food served here. And if you ARE vegan or vegetarian, you will have the meal that will make you love the fact you are who you are.

The food here is all vegan friendly. We ordered the "Fisch" sticks and the Roasted Vegetable Bowl. The "Fisch" sticks did taste a lot like actual fish. When we quizzed the waiter on how it got that flavor or texture, all he could tell us was that it was soy based and nothing else. If a person really needed some allergy information, his answer wouldn't be helpful. There were some grated carrots and some tartar type sauce with a strong dill flavor. The side salad was extra. The Vegetable Bowl consisted of cauliflower which wasn't really roasted but cooked stovetop. There were sweet potatoes, some sort of lentil-something with the consistency of wet bread dressing. There was also a small helping of cranberry chutney. The food was overall good.

This restaurant has a nice, clean looking storefront. We arrived shortly after the restaurant opened at 11:30 am. Upon walking in, a server warmly greeted us and sat us right away. Our server was very attentive -- checking in with us to see how we were enjoying our food, refilling our water glasses, offering takeout boxes. The food was delicious! We visited Cheeze Factory many years ago, and we were pleased to see the food is still as delicious and unique as it was the last time we visited, though the menu has changed significantly. We ordered a We Love Potatoes appetizer. It consisted of potato wedges served with a really good homemade BBQ sauce. They were hearty and warming on a cold winter day. I ordered the Pasta Basilico, a linguine pasta with a creamy pesto sauce, all of which I loved. The pasta dish came with a slice of organic ciabatta bread. I asked the server what it was, said I enjoyed it, and she asked me if I wanted a side of it. Of course, I would absolutely want more of that bread! It's toasted face down with herbs, spices and maybe a touch of vegan parmesan cheese. It's excellent by itself, and even more superb when used as a vehicle to glean every morsel of pesto sauce left in my pasta bowl. The extra side of bread arrived in record time, and we happily dug in. My husband enjoyed an Indonesian rice bowl with roasted veggies and mushrooms, topped with a sprinkling of dried cranberries and freshly sliced grapes on top. For dessert, we tried the Key Lime Dream Cake, and it lived up to its name with its creamy, dreamy, key lime-y deliciousness. I also particularly enjoyed the crust, which seemed to be made of finely chopped nuts. I also got a slice of the Maple Walnut Pie to go, as it was calling my name from the rotating dessert stand. The next time we're in the Dells, we're absolutely coming back! Thank you for a...

WOW. I finally got to eat here! I've been hearing about it from friends for years. We did a long hike at Devils Lake before stopping in for a late lunch. Our food was phenomenal!

We started with the "we love potatoes" app. The dill dressing served with it is a show stopper. If I wasn't sure it was vegan I wouldn't believe it. The potatoes are large wedges, six in our order, and were perfectly cooked (crips outside, fully cooked inside).

So glad I spoke to a regular customer on my way in - i was reading the posted specials and she told me the nasi goreng (Indonesian fried rice bowl) with house marinated tofu was her favorite. Again, wow. I, an adult who just barely likes fruit - there were cranberries, grapes and orange slices, along with savory veg and tofu, loved it all - the sweet pair perfectly. My friend got her go to soup (zucchini dill) and sandwich with the "tuna" salad. I got to try it .. YES - excellent as well. There were chips inside the sandwich. And the chickpeas and seasoning were perfect. Banana peppers and sundried tomatoes added depth of flavor.

Beverages! My friend got a rootbeer float - whoa. So good. Craft root beer and really good vanilla ice "cream." I love lemonade, and had to try the house made lemonade. Excellent and so worth it. Not too sweet, perfectly tangy and refreshing.

Ambiance was nice, clean, neat, minimalist. Our server was attentive and kind. I can't wait to try more items, it will be tough to pick between trying something else and the two dishes I already know I love. Thank you for having this gem of...

I have been a vegetarian (of the ovolacto variety) since 1965. Eating out is a bit of a mine field. Is there lard in the beans? Is there chicken fat in the soup? Do they sneak bacon bits in their fillings? Are foods fried in animal fat?

Okay, you get my drift. Our dear friend told us about this legendary vegan restaurant in Baraboo. So it was a must visit for us. Immediately greeted and shown a nice table by a very friendly wait person with a cool European accent.

So nice to know everything on the menu is 'safe". My wife ordered coffee, which came with a small carafe of vegan (fooled my wife) cream. She told me the coffee was really good. Split pea and vegetable soup (no ham) and a cheeze and veggie sandwich for both of us, please.

Sometimes I find vegan food lacking in flavor and texture. Here, however, we found our food to be really really delicious. The sandwich was a perfect compliment to the soup. The soup was a perfect compliment to the sandwich.

Our waiter kept my wife in coffee throughout our meal. Excellent service!

For dessert we were recommended a cashew chocolate Expresso cake. It blew our minds, so creamy and flavorful.

Bottom line, you don't have be a vegan to enjoy this place. The food and service are top notch. For those who avoid animal products this place is for you.

Baraboo is a really nice little city. There are "BE KIND" signs all around town. A nice sentiment lost on too...
